1 Alleluia:, lodate il Signoro. Allorchè dall'Egitto usci Israele: e la casa di Giacobbe (si partì) da un popolo barbaro;	1 Alleluia. At the departure of Israel from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people:
2 La nazione Giudea venne consa grata a Dio: e dominio di lui venne ad essere Israele.	2 Judea was made his sanctuary; Israel was made his power.
3 Il mare vide, e fuggì; il Giordano si rivolse indietro.	3 The sea looked, and it fled. The Jordan was turned back again.
4 I monti saltellarono come arieti, e i colli come gli agnelli delle pecore.	4 The mountains exulted like rams, and the hills like lambs among the sheep.
5 Che hai tu, o mare, che se' fuggita, e tu, o Giordano, che indietro ti se' rivolto?	5 What happened to you, O sea, so that you fled, and to you, O Jordan, so that you were turned back again?
6 E voi, monti, che saltaste come gli arieti, e voi, colli, come gli agnelli delle pecore?	6 What happened to you, O mountains, so that you exulted like rams, and to you, O hills, so that you exulted like lambs among the sheep?
7 All'apparir del Signore si scosse la terra: all'apparir del Dio di Giacobbe.	7 Before the face of the Lord, the earth was moved, before the face of the God of Jacob.
8 Il quale in istagni di acque cangia la pietra; e la rupe in sorgive di acque.	8 He converted the rock into pools of water, and the cliff into fountains of waters.
9 Non a noi, o Signore, non a noi, ma al nome tuo da gloria.	9 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.
10 Per la tua misericordia, e per la tua verità: affinchè non dican giammai le nazioni: il Dio loro dov'è?	10 Give glory to your mercy and your truth, lest the Gentiles should say, “Where is their God?”
11 Or il nostro Dio è nel cielo; egli ha fatto tutto quello, che ha voluto.	11 But our God is in heaven. All things whatsoever that he has willed, he has done.
12 I simolacri delle nazioni argento, e oro, lavoro delle mani degli uomini.	12 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men.
13 Hanno bocca, nè mai parleranno; hanno occhi, e mai non vedranno.	13 They have mouths, and do not speak; they have eyes, and do not see.
14 Hanno orecchie, ma non udiranno: hanno il naso, e son senza odorato.	14 They have ears, and do not hear; they have noses, and do not smell.
15 Hanno mani, e non palperanno: hanno piedi, e non si moveranno, e non darà uno strido la loro gola.	15 They have hands, and do not feel; they have feet, and do not walk. Neither will they cry out with their throat.
16 Sian simili ad essi quei, ch'e li fanno: e chiunque in essi confida.	16 Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them.
17 Nel Signore ha sperato la casa d'Israele: egli è loro aiuto, e lor protettore.	17 The house of Israel has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
18 Nel Signore ha sperato la casa di Arònne: egli è loro aiuto, e lor protettore.	18 The house of Aaron has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
19 Nel Signore hanno sperato quelli, che lo temono: egli è loro aiuto, e lor protettore.	19 Those who fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector.
20 Il Signore si è ricordato di noi, e ci ha benedetti.	20 The Lord has been mindful of us, and he has blessed us. He has blessed the house of Israel. He has blessed the house of Aaron.
21 Ha benedetta la casa di Israele, ha benedetta la casa di Aarone.	21 He has blessed all who fear the Lord, the small with the great.
22 Ha benedetti tutti quelli, che temono il Signore: i piccoli co' più grandi.	22 May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your sons.
23 Aggiunga benedizione il Signore sopra di voi: sopra di voi, e sopra de' vostri figliuoli.	23 Blessed are you by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
24 Siate benedetti voi dal Signore, che ha fatto il cielo, e la terra.	24 The heaven of heaven is for the Lord, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.
25 L'altissimo cielo è pel Signore: la terra poi egli la ha data a' figliuoli degli uomini.	25 The dead will not praise you, Lord, and neither will all those who descend into Hell.
26 Non i morti daran lode a te, o Signore; né tutti quei, che scendono nel sepolcro.	26 But we who live will bless the Lord, from this time forward, and even forever.
27 Ma noi, che viviamo benediciamo il Signore da questo punto per fino a tutti i secoli.
