1 Alleluia: lodate Dio. HO amato, perché esaudirà il Signore la voce della mia orazione;	1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2 Perocché egli le sue orecchie chinò a udirmi: ed io ne' miei giorni lo invocherò.	2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3 Mi circondarono dolori di morte: pericoli di inferno mi investirono.	3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4 Trovai tribolazione, e affanno: e il nome del Signore invocai.	4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5 Libera, o Signore, l'anima mia: il Signore è misericordioso, e giusto, e il nostro Dio è benigno.	5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6 Il Signore custodisce i piccolini: fui umiliato, ed egli mi liberò.	6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7 Torna, o anima mia nella tua requie: perocché il Signore ti ha fatto del bene.	7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8 Imperocché egli ha sottratta l'anima mia alla morte; gli occhi miei alle lagrime, i miei piedi alle cadute.	8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
9 Sarò accetto al Signore nella regione de' viventi.
