1 Preces afflicti, qui defessus angorem suum ante Dominum profundit.	1 To David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and bless his holy name, all that is within me.
2 Domine, exaudi orationem meam, et clamor meus ad te veniat.	2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his recompenses.
3 Non abscondas faciem tuam a me; in quacumque die tribulor, inclina ad me aurem tuam. In quacumque die invocavero te, velociter exaudi me.	3 He forgives all your iniquities. He heals all your infirmities.
4 Quia defecerunt sicut fumus dies mei, et ossa mea sicut cremium aruerunt.	4 He redeems your life from destruction. He crowns you with mercy and compassion.
5 Percussum est ut fenum et aruit cor meum, etenim oblitus sum comedere panem meum.	5 He satisfies your desire with good things. Your youth will be renewed like that of the eagle.
6 A voce gemitus mei adhaesit os meum carni meae.	6 The Lord accomplishes mercies, and his judgment is for all who patiently endure injuries.
7 Similis factus sum pellicano solitudinis, factus sum sicut nycticorax in ruinis.	7 He has made his ways known to Moses, his will to the sons of Israel.
8 Vigilavi et factus sum sicut passer solitarius in tecto.	8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful, patient and full of mercy.
9 Tota die exprobrabant mihi inimici mei, exardescentes in me per me iurabant.	9 He will not be angry forever, and he will not threaten for eternity.
10 Quia cinerem tamquam panem manducabam et potum meum cum fletu miscebam,	10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, and he has not repaid us according to our iniquities.
11 a facie irae et increpationis tuae, quia elevans allisisti me.	11 For according to the height of the heavens above the earth, so has he reinforced his mercy toward those who fear him.
12 Dies mei sicut umbra declinaverunt, et ego sicut fenum arui.	12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our iniquities from us.
13 Tu autem, Domine, in aeternum permanes, et memoriale tuum in generationem et generationem.	13 As a father is compassionate to his sons, so has the Lord been compassionate to those who fear him.
14 Tu exsurgens misereberis Sion, quia tempus miserendi eius, quia venit tempus,	14 For he knows our form. He has called to mind that we are dust.
15 quoniam placuerunt servis tuis lapides eius, et pulveris eius miserentur.	15 Man: his days are like hay. Like the flower of the field, so will he flourish.
16 Et timebunt gentes nomen tuum, Domine, et omnes reges terrae gloriam tuam,	16 For the spirit in him will pass away, and it will not remain, and he will know his place no longer.
17 quia aedificavit Dominus Sion et apparuit in gloria sua.	17 But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity, and even unto eternity, upon those who fear him. And his justice is with the sons of the sons,
18 Respexit in orationem inopum et non sprevit precem eorum.	18 with those who serve his covenant and have been mindful of his commandments by doing them.
19 Scribantur haec pro generatione altera, et populus, qui creabitur, laudabit Dominum.	19 The Lord has prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom will rule over all.
20 Quia prospexit de excelso sanctuario suo, Dominus de caelo in terram aspexit,	20 Bless the Lord, all you his Angels: powerful in virtue, doing his word, in order to heed the voice of his discourse.
21 ut audiret gemitus compeditorum, ut solveret filios mortis;	21 Bless the Lord, all his hosts: his ministers who do his will.
22 ut annuntient in Sion nomen Domini et laudem eius in Ierusalem,	22 Bless the Lord, all his works: in every place of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul.
23 cum congregati fuerint populi in unum et regna, ut serviant Domino.
24 Humiliavit in via virtutem meam, abbreviavit dies meos. Dicam: “ Deus meus,
25 ne auferas me in dimidio dierum meorum; in generationem et generationem sunt anni tui.
26 Initio terram fundasti; et opera manuum tuarum sunt caeli.
27 Ipsi peribunt, tu autem permanes; et omnes sicut vestimentum veterascent, et sicut opertorium mutabis eos, et mutabuntur.
28 Tu autem idem ipse es, et anni tui non deficient.
29 Filii servorum tuorum habitabunt, et semen eorum in conspectu tuo firmabitur ”.
