1 Di Davide.(Alef) A te, Signore, innalzo l’anima mia,	1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,
2 (Bet) mio Dio, in te confido:che io non resti deluso!Non trionfino su di me i miei nemici!	2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.
3 (Ghimel) Chiunque in te spera non resti deluso;sia deluso chi tradisce senza motivo.	3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.
4 (Dalet) Fammi conoscere, Signore, le tue vie,insegnami i tuoi sentieri.	4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.
5 (He) Guidami nella tua fedeltà e istruiscimi,perché sei tu il Dio della mia salvezza;(Vau) io spero in te tutto il giorno.	5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.
6 (Zain) Ricòrdati, Signore, della tua misericordiae del tuo amore, che è da sempre.	6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.
7 (Het) I peccati della mia giovinezzae le mie ribellioni, non li ricordare:ricòrdati di me nella tua misericordia,per la tua bontà, Signore.	7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.
8 (Tet) Buono e retto è il Signore,indica ai peccatori la via giusta;	8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.
9 (Iod) guida i poveri secondo giustizia,insegna ai poveri la sua via.	9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.
10 (Caf) Tutti i sentieri del Signore sono amore e fedeltàper chi custodisce la sua alleanza e i suoi precetti.	10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.
11 (Lamed) Per il tuo nome, Signore,perdona la mia colpa, anche se è grande.	11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.
12 (Mem) C’è un uomo che teme il Signore?Gli indicherà la via da scegliere.	12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.
13 (Nun) Egli riposerà nel benessere,la sua discendenza possederà la terra.	13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.
14 (Samec) Il Signore si confida con chi lo teme:gli fa conoscere la sua alleanza.	14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.
15 (Ain) I miei occhi sono sempre rivolti al Signore,è lui che fa uscire dalla rete il mio piede.	15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.
16 (Pe) Volgiti a me e abbi pietà,perché sono povero e solo.	16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!
17 (Sade) Allarga il mio cuore angosciato,liberami dagli affanni.	17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.
18 Vedi la mia povertà e la mia faticae perdona tutti i miei peccati.	18 SPARE a glance for my misery and pain, take al my sins away.
19 (Res) Guarda i miei nemici: sono molti,e mi detestano con odio violento.	19 TAKE note how countless are my enemies, how violent their hatred for me.
20 (Sin) Proteggimi, portami in salvo;che io non resti deluso,perché in te mi sono rifugiato.	20 UNLESS you guard me and rescue me I shall be put to shame, for you are my refuge.
21 (Tau) Mi proteggano integrità e rettitudine,perché in te ho sperato.	21 VIRTUE and integrity be my protection, for my hope, Yahweh, is in you.
22 O Dio, libera Israeleda tutte le sue angosce.	22 Ransom Israel, O God, from al its troubles.
