BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Al maestro del coro. Dei figli di Core. Salmo.	1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah Psalm] Hear this, all nations, listen, al who dwel on earth,
2 Ascoltate questo, popoli tutti,porgete l’orecchio, voi tutti abitanti del mondo,	2 people high and low, rich and poor alike!
3 voi, gente del popolo e nobili,ricchi e poveri insieme.	3 My lips have wisdom to utter, my heart good sense to whisper.
4 La mia bocca dice cose sapienti,il mio cuore medita con discernimento.	4 I listen careful y to a proverb, I set my riddle to the music of the harp.
5 Porgerò l’orecchio a un proverbio,esporrò sulla cetra il mio enigma.	5 Why should I be afraid in times of trouble? Malice dogs me and hems me in.
6 Perché dovrò temere nei giorni del male,quando mi circonda la maliziadi quelli che mi fanno inciampare?	6 They trust in their wealth, and boast of the profusion of their riches.
7 Essi confidano nella loro forza,si vantano della loro grande ricchezza.	7 But no one can ever redeem himself or pay his own ransom to God,
8 Certo, l’uomo non può riscattare se stessoné pagare a Dio il proprio prezzo.	8 the price for himself is too high; it can never be
9 Troppo caro sarebbe il riscatto di una vita:non sarà mai sufficiente	9 that he wil live on for ever and avoid the sight of the abyss.
10 per vivere senza finee non vedere la fossa.	10 For he wil see the wise also die no less than the fool and the brute, and leave their wealth behind forothers.
11 Vedrai infatti morire i sapienti;periranno insieme lo stolto e l’insensatoe lasceranno ad altri le loro ricchezze.	11 For ever no home but their tombs, their dwel ing-place age after age, though they gave their name towhole territories.
12 Il sepolcro sarà loro eterna dimora,loro tenda di generazione in generazione:eppure a terre hanno dato il proprio nome.	12 In prosperity people lose their good sense, they become no better than dumb animals.
13 Ma nella prosperità l’uomo non dura:è simile alle bestie che muoiono.	13 So they go on in their self-assurance, right up to the end they are content with their lot.Pause
14 Questa è la via di chi confida in se stesso,la fine di chi si compiace dei propri discorsi.	14 They are penned in Sheol like sheep, Death wil lead them to pasture, and those who are honest wilrule over them. In the morning al trace of them wil be gone, Sheol wil be their home.
15 Come pecore sono destinati agli inferi,sarà loro pastore la morte;scenderanno a precipizio nel sepolcro,svanirà di loro ogni traccia,gli inferi saranno la loro dimora.	15 But my soul God wil ransom from the clutches of Sheol, and wil snatch me up.Pause
16 Certo, Dio riscatterà la mia vita,mi strapperà dalla mano degli inferi.	16 Do not be overawed when someone gets rich, and lives in ever greater splendour;
17 Non temere se un uomo arricchisce,se aumenta la gloria della sua casa.	17 when he dies he wil take nothing with him, his wealth wil not go down with him.
18 Quando muore, infatti, con sé non porta nullané scende con lui la sua gloria.	18 Though he pampered himself while he lived -- and people praise you for looking after yourself-
19 Anche se da vivo benediceva se stesso:«Si congratuleranno, perché ti è andata bene»,	19 he will go to join the ranks of his ancestors, who wil never again see the light.
20 andrà con la generazione dei suoi padri,che non vedranno mai più la luce.	20 In prosperity people lose their good sense, they become no better than dumb animals.
21 Nella prosperità l’uomo non comprende,è simile alle bestie che muoiono.
