BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Di Davide.Signore, accusa chi mi accusa,combatti chi mi combatte.	1 [Of David] Accuse my accusers, Yahweh, attack my attackers.
2 Afferra scudo e corazzae sorgi in mio aiuto.	2 Grasp your buckler and shield, up, and help me.
3 Impugna lancia e scure contro chi mi insegue;dimmi: «Sono io la tua salvezza».	3 Brandish spear and pike to confront my pursuers, give me the assurance, 'I am your Saviour.'
4 Siano svergognati e confusiquanti attentano alla mia vita;retrocedano e siano umiliatiquanti tramano la mia sventura.	4 Shame and humiliation on those who are out to kil me! Defeat and repulse in dismay on those whoplot my downfal .
5 Siano come pula al ventoe l’angelo del Signore li disperda;	5 May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of Yahweh to chase them.
6 la loro strada sia buia e scivolosaquando l’angelo del Signore li insegue.	6 May their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of Yahweh to hound them.
7 Poiché senza motivo mi hanno teso una rete,senza motivo mi hanno scavato una fossa.	7 Unprovoked they laid their snare for me, unprovoked dug a trap to kill me.
8 Li colga una rovina improvvisa,li catturi la rete che hanno tesoe nella rovina siano travolti.	8 Ruin comes upon them unawares; the snare they have laid wil catch them, and into their own trapthey will fal .
9 Ma l’anima mia esulterà nel Signoree gioirà per la sua salvezza.	9 Then I shal delight in Yahweh, rejoice that he has saved me.
10 Tutte le mie ossa dicano:«Chi è come te, Signore,che liberi il povero dal più forte,il povero e il misero da chi li rapina?».	10 My very bones wil al exclaim, Yahweh, who can compare with you in rescuing the poor from theoppressor; the needy from the exploiter?
11 Sorgevano testimoni violenti,mi interrogavano su ciò che ignoravo,	11 False witnesses come forward against me asking me questions I cannot answer, they cross-examineme,
12 mi rendevano male per bene:una desolazione per l’anima mia.	12 repay my kindness with cruelty, make my life barren.
13 Ma io, quand’erano malati, vestivo di sacco,mi affliggevo col digiuno,la mia preghiera riecheggiava nel mio petto.	13 But I, when they were il , had worn sackcloth, and mortified myself with fasting, praying ever anew inmy heart,
14 Accorrevo come per un amico, come per un mio fratello,mi prostravo nel dolore come in lutto per la madre.	14 as if for a friend or brother; I had wandered restless, as if mourning a mother, so bowed had I been insorrow.
15 Ma essi godono della mia caduta, si radunano,si radunano contro di me per colpirmi di sorpresa.Mi dilaniano di continuo,	15 When I stumble they gather in glee, gather around me; strangers I never even knew tear me apartincessantly.
16 mi mettono alla prova, mi coprono di scherni;contro di me digrignano i loro denti.	16 If I fal they surround me, grinding their teeth at me.
17 Fino a quando, Signore, starai a guardare?Libera la mia vita dalla loro violenza,dalle zanne dei leoni l’unico mio bene.	17 How much longer, Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their onslaughts, from young lions rescuethe one life that I have.
18 Ti renderò grazie nella grande assemblea,ti loderò in mezzo a un popolo numeroso.	18 I wil give you thanks in the great assembly praise you where the people gather.
19 Non esultino su di me i nemici bugiardi,non strizzino l’occhio quelli che, senza motivo, mi odiano.	19 Let not my lying enemies gloat over me; those who hate me unprovoked look askance at me.
20 Poiché essi non parlano di pace;contro gente pacifica tramano inganni.	20 They have no greeting of peace to the peace-loving people of the land; they think up deceptivespeeches.
21 Spalancano contro di me la loro bocca;dicono: «Bene! I nostri occhi hanno visto!».	21 Their mouths wide open to accuse me, they say, 'Come on now, we saw you.'
22 Signore, tu hai visto, non tacere;Signore, da me non stare lontano.	22 You saw it, Yahweh, do not stay silent; Lord, do not stand aloof from me.
23 Déstati, svégliati per il mio giudizio,per la mia causa, mio Dio e Signore!	23 Up, awake, to my defence, my God and my Lord, to my cause.
24 Giudicami secondo la tua giustizia, Signore, mio Dio,perché di me non debbano gioire.	24 In your saving justice give judgement for me, Yahweh my God, and do not let them gloat over me.
25 Non pensino in cuor loro: «È ciò che volevamo!».Non dicano: «Lo abbiamo divorato!».	25 Do not let them think, 'Just as we hoped,' nor, 'Now we have swal owed him up.'
26 Sia svergognato e confuso chi gode della mia rovina,sia coperto di vergogna e disonore chi mi insulta.	26 Shame and dismay on them al who gloat over my misfortunes. Let al who profit at my expense becovered with shame and disgrace.
27 Esulti e gioisca chi ama il mio diritto,dica sempre: «Grande è il Signore,che vuole la pace del suo servo».	27 But let al who delight in my uprightness shout for joy and gladness; let them constantly say, 'Great isYahweh, who delights to see his servant in peace.'
28 La mia lingua mediterà la tua giustizia,canterà la tua lode per sempre.	28 And my tongue shal recount your saving justice, al day long sing your praise.
