1 Lamento che Davide cantò al Signore a causa delle parole di Cus, il Beniaminita.	1 [Lament Of David Which he sang to Yahweh about Cush the Benjaminite] Yahweh my God, I takerefuge in you, save me from al my pursuers and rescue me,
2 Signore, mio Dio, in te ho trovato rifugio:salvami da chi mi perseguita e liberami,	2 or he wil savage me like a lion, carry me off with no one to rescue me.
3 perché non mi sbrani come un leone,dilaniandomi senza che alcuno mi liberi.	3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this: if injustice has stained my hands,
4 Signore, mio Dio, se così ho agito,se c’è ingiustizia nelle mie mani,	4 if I have repaid my al y with treachery or spared one who attacked me unprovoked,
5 se ho ripagato il mio amico con il male,se ho spogliato i miei avversari senza motivo,	5 may an enemy hunt me down and catch me, may he trample my life into the ground and crush my vitalparts into the dust.Pause
6 il nemico mi insegua e mi raggiunga,calpesti a terra la mia vitae getti nella polvere il mio onore.	6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger, rise up against the arrogance of my foes. Awake, my God, you demandjudgement.
7 Sorgi, Signore, nella tua ira,àlzati contro la furia dei miei avversari,svégliati, mio Dio, emetti un giudizio!	7 Let the assembly of nations gather round you; return above it on high!
8 L’assemblea dei popoli ti circonda:ritorna dall’alto a dominarla!	8 (Yahweh judges the nations.) Judge me, Yahweh, as my uprightness and my integrity deserve.
9 Il Signore giudica i popoli.Giudicami, Signore, secondo la mia giustizia,secondo l’innocenza che è in me.	9 Put an end to the malice of the wicked, make the upright stand firm, you who discern hearts and minds,God the upright.
10 Cessi la cattiveria dei malvagi.Rendi saldo il giusto,tu che scruti mente e cuore, o Dio giusto.	10 God is a shield that protects me, saving the honest of heart.
11 Il mio scudo è in Dio:egli salva i retti di cuore.	11 God is an upright judge, slow to anger, but a God at al times threatening
12 Dio è giudice giusto,Dio si sdegna ogni giorno.	12 for those who wil not repent. Let the enemy whet his sword, draw his bow and make ready;
13 Non torna forse ad affilare la spada,a tendere, a puntare il suo arco?	13 but he is making ready instruments of death for himself and tipping his arrows with fire;
14 Si prepara strumenti di morte,arroventa le sue frecce.	14 look at him: pregnant with malice, conceiving spite, he gives birth to treachery.
15 Ecco, il malvagio concepisce ingiustizia,è gravido di cattiveria, partorisce menzogna.	15 He digs a trap, scoops it out, but he fal s into the snare he made himself.
16 Egli scava un pozzo profondoe cade nella fossa che ha fatto;	16 His spite recoils on his own head, his brutality falls back on his own skul .
17 la sua cattiveria ricade sul suo capo,la sua violenza gli piomba sulla testa.	17 I thank Yahweh for his saving justice. I sing to the name of the Most High.
18 Renderò grazie al Signore per la sua giustiziae canterò il nome di Dio, l’Altissimo.
