2 Dio, non startene muto,non restare in silenzio e inerte, o Dio.	2 How beloved are your tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
3 Vedi: i tuoi nemici sono in tumultoe quelli che ti odiano alzano la testa.	3 My soul longs and faints for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have exulted in the living God.
4 Contro il tuo popolo tramano congiuree cospirano contro i tuoi protetti.	4 For even the sparrow has found a home for himself, and the turtle-dove a nest for herself, where she may lay her young: your altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
5 Hanno detto: «Venite, cancelliamoli come popoloe più non si ricordi il nome d’Israele».	5 Blessed are those who dwell in your house, O Lord. They will praise you from age to age.
6 Hanno tramato insieme concordi,contro di te hanno concluso un patto:	6 Blessed is the man whose help is from you. In his heart, he is disposed to ascend
7 le tende di Edom e gli Ismaeliti,Moab e gli Agareni,	7 from the valley of tears, from the place which he has determined.
8 Gebal, Ammon e Amalèk,la Filistea con gli abitanti di Tiro.	8 For even the lawgiver will provide a blessing; they will go from virtue to virtue. The God of gods will be seen in Zion.
9 Anche l’Assiria è loro alleatae dà man forte ai figli di Lot.	9 O Lord, God of hosts, hear my prayer. Pay attention, O God of Jacob.
10 Trattali come Madian, come Sìsara,come Iabin al torrente Kison:	10 O God, gaze upon our protector, and look upon the face of your Christ.
11 essi furono distrutti a Endor,divennero concime dei campi.	11 For one day in your courts is better than thousands elsewhere. I have chosen to be lowly in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.
12 Rendi i loro prìncipi come Oreb e Zeeb,e come Zebach e come Salmunnà tutti i loro capi;	12 For God loves mercy and truth. The Lord will give grace and glory.
13 essi dicevano:«I pascoli di Dio conquistiamoli per noi».	13 He will not withhold good things from those who walk in innocence. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who hopes in you.
14 Mio Dio, rendili come un vortice,come paglia che il vento disperde.
15 Come fuoco che incendia la macchiae come fiamma che divampa sui monti,
16 così tu incalzali con la tua buferae sgomentali con il tuo uragano.
17 Copri di vergogna i loro voltiperché cerchino il tuo nome, Signore.
18 Siano svergognati e tremanti per sempre,siano confusi e distrutti;
19 sappiano che il tuo nome è «Signore»:tu solo l’Altissimo su tutta la terra.
