2 Dio, non startene muto,non restare in silenzio e inerte, o Dio.	2 God, do not be silent; God, be not still and unmoved!
3 Vedi: i tuoi nemici sono in tumultoe quelli che ti odiano alzano la testa.	3 See how your enemies rage; your foes proudly raise their heads.
4 Contro il tuo popolo tramano congiuree cospirano contro i tuoi protetti.	4 They conspire against your people, plot against those you protect.
5 Hanno detto: «Venite, cancelliamoli come popoloe più non si ricordi il nome d’Israele».	5 They say, "Come, let us wipe out their nation; let Israel's name be mentioned no more!"
6 Hanno tramato insieme concordi,contro di te hanno concluso un patto:	6 They scheme with one mind, in league against you:
7 le tende di Edom e gli Ismaeliti,Moab e gli Agareni,	7 The tents of Ishmael and Edom, the people of Moab and Hagar,
8 Gebal, Ammon e Amalèk,la Filistea con gli abitanti di Tiro.	8 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre.
9 Anche l’Assiria è loro alleatae dà man forte ai figli di Lot.	9 Assyria, too, in league with them gives aid to the descendants of Lot. Selah
10 Trattali come Madian, come Sìsara,come Iabin al torrente Kison:	10 Deal with them as with Midian; as with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent Kishon,
11 essi furono distrutti a Endor,divennero concime dei campi.	11 Those destroyed at Endor, who became dung for the ground.
12 Rendi i loro prìncipi come Oreb e Zeeb,e come Zebach e come Salmunnà tutti i loro capi;	12 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
13 essi dicevano:«I pascoli di Dio conquistiamoli per noi».	13 Who made a plan together, "Let us seize the pastures of God."
14 Mio Dio, rendili come un vortice,come paglia che il vento disperde.	14 My God, turn them into withered grass, into chaff flying before the wind.
15 Come fuoco che incendia la macchiae come fiamma che divampa sui monti,	15 As a fire raging through a forest, a flame setting mountains ablaze,
16 così tu incalzali con la tua buferae sgomentali con il tuo uragano.	16 Pursue them with your tempest; terrify them with your storm.
17 Copri di vergogna i loro voltiperché cerchino il tuo nome, Signore.	17 Cover their faces with shame, till they pay you homage, LORD.
18 Siano svergognati e tremanti per sempre,siano confusi e distrutti;	18 Let them be dismayed and shamed forever; let them perish in disgrace.
19 sappiano che il tuo nome è «Signore»:tu solo l’Altissimo su tutta la terra.	19 Show them you alone are the LORD, the Most High over all the earth.
