2 La mia voce verso Dio: io grido aiuto!La mia voce verso Dio, perché mi ascolti.	2 I cry aloud to God, cry to God to hear me.
3 Nel giorno della mia angoscia io cerco il Signore,nella notte le mie mani sono tese e non si stancano;l’anima mia rifiuta di calmarsi.	3 On the day of my distress I seek the Lord; by night my hands are raised unceasingly; I refuse to be consoled.
4 Mi ricordo di Dio e gemo,medito e viene meno il mio spirito.	4 When I think of God, I groan; as I ponder, my spirit grows faint. Selah
5 Tu trattieni dal sonno i miei occhi,sono turbato e incapace di parlare.	5 My eyes cannot close in sleep; I am troubled and cannot speak.
6 Ripenso ai giorni passati,ricordo gli anni lontani.	6 I consider the days of old; the years long past
7 Un canto nella notte mi ritorna nel cuore:medito e il mio spirito si va interrogando.	7 I remember. In the night I meditate in my heart; I ponder and my spirit broods:
8 Forse il Signore ci respingerà per sempre,non sarà mai più benevolo con noi?	8 "Will the Lord reject us forever, never again show favor?
9 È forse cessato per sempre il suo amore,è finita la sua promessa per sempre?	9 Has God's love ceased forever? Has the promise failed for all ages?
10 Può Dio aver dimenticato la pietà,aver chiuso nell’ira la sua misericordia?	10 Has God forgotten mercy, in anger withheld compassion?" Selah
11 E ho detto: «Questo è il mio tormento:è mutata la destra dell’Altissimo».	11 I conclude: "My sorrow is this, the right hand of the Most High has left us."
12 Ricordo i prodigi del Signore,sì, ricordo le tue meraviglie di un tempo.	12 I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, your wonders of old I will remember.
13 Vado considerando le tue opere,medito tutte le tue prodezze.	13 I will recite all your works; your exploits I will tell.
14 O Dio, santa è la tua via;quale dio è grande come il nostro Dio?	14 Your way, O God, is holy; what god is as great as our God?
15 Tu sei il Dio che opera meraviglie,manifesti la tua forza fra i popoli.	15 You alone are the God who did wonders; among the peoples you revealed your might.
16 Hai riscattato il tuo popolo con il tuo braccio,i figli di Giacobbe e di Giuseppe.	16 With your arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
17 Ti videro le acque, o Dio,ti videro le acque e ne furono sconvolte;sussultarono anche gli abissi.	17 The waters saw you, God; the waters saw you and lashed about, trembled even to their depths.
18 Le nubi rovesciavano acqua,scoppiava il tuono nel cielo;le tue saette guizzavano.	18 The clouds poured down their rains; the thunderheads rumbled; your arrows flashed back and forth.
19 Il boato dei tuoi tuoni nel turbine,le tue folgori rischiaravano il mondo;tremava e si scuoteva la terra.	19 The thunder of your chariot wheels resounded; your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.
20 Sul mare la tua via,i tuoi sentieri sulle grandi acque,ma le tue orme non furono riconosciute.	20 Through the sea was your path; your way, through the mighty waters, though your footsteps were unseen.
21 Guidasti come un gregge il tuo popoloper mano di Mosè e di Aronne.	21 You led your people like a flock under the care of Moses and Aaron.
