BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Di Davide.(Alef) Non irritarti a causa dei malvagi,non invidiare i malfattori.	1 [Of David] Do not get heated about the wicked or envy those who do wrong.
2 Come l’erba presto appassiranno;come il verde del prato avvizziranno.	2 Quick as the grass they wither, fading like the green of the fields.
3 (Bet) Confida nel Signore e fa’ il bene:abiterai la terra e vi pascolerai con sicurezza.	3 Put your trust in Yahweh and do right, make your home in the land and live secure.
4 Cerca la gioia nel Signore:esaudirà i desideri del tuo cuore.	4 Make Yahweh your joy and he will give you your heart's desires.
5 (Ghimel) Affida al Signore la tua via,confida in lui ed egli agirà:	5 Commit your destiny to Yahweh, be confident in him, and he wil act,
6 farà brillare come luce la tua giustizia,il tuo diritto come il mezzogiorno.	6 making your uprightness clear as daylight, and the justice of your cause as the noon.
7 (Dalet) Sta’ in silenzio davanti al Signore e spera in lui;non irritarti per chi ha successo,per l’uomo che trama insidie.	7 Stay quiet before Yahweh, wait longingly for him, do not get heated over someone who is making afortune, succeeding by devious means.
8 (He) Desisti dall’ira e deponi lo sdegno,non irritarti: non ne verrebbe che male;	8 Refrain from anger, leave rage aside, do not get heated -- it can do no good;
9 perché i malvagi saranno eliminati,ma chi spera nel Signore avrà in eredità la terra.	9 for evil-doers will be annihilated, while those who hope in Yahweh shal have the land for their own.
10 (Vau) Ancora un poco e il malvagio scompare:cerchi il suo posto, ma lui non c’è più.	10 A little while and the wicked wil be no more, however wel you search for the place, the wicked wilnot be there;
11 I poveri invece avranno in eredità la terrae godranno di una grande pace.	11 but the poor wil have the land for their own, to enjoy untroubled peace.
12 (Zain) Il malvagio trama contro il giusto,contro di lui digrigna i denti.	12 The wicked plots against the upright and gnashes his teeth at him,
13 Ma il Signore ride di lui,perché vede arrivare il suo giorno.	13 but Yahweh only laughs at his efforts, knowing that his end is in sight.
14 (Het) I malvagi sfoderano la spada e tendono l’arcoper abbattere il povero e il misero,per uccidere chi cammina onestamente.	14 Though the wicked draw his sword and bend his bow to slaughter the honest and bring down thepoor and the needy,
15 Ma la loro spada penetrerà nel loro cuoree i loro archi saranno spezzati.	15 his sword will pierce his own heart, and his bow wil be shattered.
16 (Tet) È meglio il poco del giustoche la grande abbondanza dei malvagi;	16 What little the upright possesses outweighs al the wealth of the wicked;
17 le braccia dei malvagi saranno spezzate,ma il Signore è il sostegno dei giusti.	17 for the weapons of the wicked shal be shattered, while Yahweh supports the upright.
18 (Iod) Il Signore conosce i giorni degli uomini integri:la loro eredità durerà per sempre.	18 The lives of the just are in Yahweh's care, their birthright wil endure for ever;
19 Non si vergogneranno nel tempo della sventurae nei giorni di carestia saranno saziati.	19 they wil not be put to shame when bad times come, in time of famine they wil have plenty.
20 (Caf) I malvagi infatti periranno,i nemici del Signore svaniranno;come lo splendore dei prati,in fumo svaniranno.	20 The wicked, enemies of Yahweh, wil be destroyed, they wil vanish like the green of the pasture, theywil vanish in smoke.
21 (Lamed) Il malvagio prende in prestito e non restituisce,ma il giusto ha compassione e dà in dono.	21 The wicked borrows and wil not repay, but the upright is generous in giving;
22 Quelli che sono benedetti dal Signore avranno in eredità la terra,ma quelli che sono da lui maledetti saranno eliminati.	22 those he blesses will have the land for their own, and those he curses be annihilated.
23 (Mem) Il Signore rende sicuri i passi dell’uomoe si compiace della sua via.	23 Yahweh guides a strong man's steps and keeps them firm; and takes pleasure in him.
24 Se egli cade, non rimane a terra,perché il Signore sostiene la sua mano.	24 When he trips he is not thrown sprawling, since Yahweh supports him by the hand.
25 (Nun) Sono stato fanciullo e ora sono vecchio:non ho mai visto il giusto abbandonatoné i suoi figli mendicare il pane;	25 Now I am old, but ever since my youth I never saw an upright person abandoned, or the descendantsof the upright forced to beg their bread.
26 ogni giorno egli ha compassione e dà in prestito,e la sua stirpe sarà benedetta.	26 The upright is always compassionate, always lending, so his descendants reap a blessing.
27 (Samec) Sta’ lontano dal male e fa’ il benee avrai sempre una casa.	27 Turn your back on evil and do good, you wil have a home for ever,
28 Perché il Signore ama il dirittoe non abbandona i suoi fedeli.(Ain) Gli ingiusti saranno distrutti per sempree la stirpe dei malvagi sarà eliminata.	28 for Yahweh loves justice and wil not forsake his faithful. Evil-doers wil perish eternally, thedescendants of the wicked be annihilated,
29 I giusti avranno in eredità la terrae vi abiteranno per sempre.	29 but the upright shal have the land for their own, there they shal live for ever.
30 (Pe) La bocca del giusto medita la sapienzae la sua lingua esprime il diritto;	30 Wisdom comes from the lips of the upright, and his tongue speaks what is right;
31 la legge del suo Dio è nel suo cuore:i suoi passi non vacilleranno.	31 the law of his God is in his heart, his foot wil never slip.
32 (Sade) Il malvagio spia il giustoe cerca di farlo morire.	32 The wicked keeps a close eye on the upright, looking out for a chance to kill him;
33 Ma il Signore non lo abbandona alla sua mano,nel giudizio non lo lascia condannare.	33 Yahweh will never abandon him to the clutches of the wicked, nor let him be condemned if he is tried.
34 (Kof) Spera nel Signore e custodisci la sua via:egli t’innalzerà perché tu erediti la terra;tu vedrai eliminati i malvagi.	34 Put your hope in Yahweh, keep to his path, he wil raise you up to make the land your own; you willook on while the wicked are annihilated.
35 (Res) Ho visto un malvagio trionfante,gagliardo come cedro verdeggiante;	35 I have seen the wicked exultant, towering like a cedar of Lebanon.
36 sono ripassato ed ecco non c’era più,l’ho cercato e non si è più trovato.	36 When next I passed he was gone, I searched for him and he was nowhere to be found.
37 (Sin) Osserva l’integro, guarda l’uomo retto:perché avrà una discendenza l’uomo di pace.	37 Observe the innocent, consider the honest, for the lover of peace wil not lack children.
38 Ma i peccatori tutti insieme saranno eliminati,la discendenza dei malvagi sarà sterminata.	38 But the wicked wil al be destroyed together, and their children annihilated.
39 (Tau) La salvezza dei giusti viene dal Signore:nel tempo dell’angoscia è loro fortezza.	39 The upright have Yahweh for their Saviour, their refuge in times of trouble;
40 Il Signore li aiuta e li libera,li libera dai malvagi e li salva,perché in lui si sono rifugiati.	40 Yahweh helps them and rescues them, he wil rescue them from the wicked, and save them becausethey take refuge in him.
