BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Canto delle salite.Ricòrdati, Signore, di Davide,di tutte le sue fatiche,	1 [Song of Ascents] Yahweh, remember David and al the hardships he endured,
2 quando giurò al Signore,al Potente di Giacobbe fece voto:	2 the oath he swore to Yahweh, his vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 «Non entrerò nella tenda in cui abito,non mi stenderò sul letto del mio riposo,	3 'I wil not enter tent or house, wil not climb into bed,
4 non concederò sonno ai miei occhiné riposo alle mie palpebre,	4 will not al ow myself to sleep, not even to close my eyes,
5 finché non avrò trovato un luogo per il Signore,una dimora per il Potente di Giacobbe».	5 til I have found a place for Yahweh, a dwel ing for the Mighty One of Jacob!'
6 Ecco, abbiamo saputo che era in Èfrata,l’abbiamo trovata nei campi di Iaar.	6 Listen, we heard of it in Ephrathah, we found it at Forest-Fields.
7 Entriamo nella sua dimora,prostriamoci allo sgabello dei suoi piedi.	7 Let us go into his dwel ing-place, and worship at his footstool.
8 Sorgi, Signore, verso il luogo del tuo riposo,tu e l’arca della tua potenza.	8 Go up, Yahweh, to your resting-place, you and the ark of your strength.
9 I tuoi sacerdoti si rivestano di giustiziaed esultino i tuoi fedeli.	9 Your priests are robed in saving justice, your faithful are shouting for joy.
10 Per amore di Davide, tuo servo,non respingere il volto del tuo consacrato.	10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed.
11 Il Signore ha giurato a Davide,promessa da cui non torna indietro:«Il frutto delle tue viscereio metterò sul tuo trono!	11 Yahweh has sworn to David, and wil always remain true to his word, 'I promise that I wil set a sonof yours upon your throne.
12 Se i tuoi figli osserveranno la mia alleanzae i precetti che insegnerò loro,anche i loro figli per sempresiederanno sul tuo trono».	12 If your sons observe my covenant and the instructions I have taught them, their sons too forevermore wil occupy your throne.'
13 Sì, il Signore ha scelto Sion,l’ha voluta per sua residenza:	13 For Yahweh has chosen Zion, he has desired it as a home.
14 «Questo sarà il luogo del mio riposo per sempre:qui risiederò, perché l’ho voluto.	14 'Here shal I rest for evermore, here shal I make my home as I have wished.
15 Benedirò tutti i suoi raccolti,sazierò di pane i suoi poveri.	15 'I shal generously bless her produce, give her needy their fil of food,
16 Rivestirò di salvezza i suoi sacerdoti,i suoi fedeli esulteranno di gioia.	16 I shal clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful wil sing aloud for joy.
17 Là farò germogliare una potenza per Davide,preparerò una lampada per il mio consacrato.	17 'There I shal raise up a line of descendants for David, light a lamp for my anointed;
18 Rivestirò di vergogna i suoi nemici,mentre su di lui fiorirà la sua corona».	18 I shal clothe his enemies with shame, while his own crown shall flourish.'
