1 Magistro chori. Maskil. David,	1 Unto the end. For Mahalath: the thoughts of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
2 postquam Doeg Edomita ad Saul venit eique narravit dicens: " David intravit in domum Abimelech ".	2 They were corrupted, and they became abominable with iniquities. There is no one who does good.
3 Quid gloriaris in malitia, qui potens es iniquitate?	3 God gazed down from heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God.
4 Tota die insidias cogitasti; lingua tua sicut novacula acuta, qui facis dolum.	4 All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.
5 Dilexisti malitiam super benignitatem, mendacium magis quam loqui aequitatem.	5 Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread?
6 Dilexisti omnia verba perditionis, lingua dolosa.	6 They have not called upon God. In that place, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. For God has scattered the bones of those who please men. They have been confounded, because God has spurned them.
7 Propterea Deus destruet te in finem; evellet te et emigrabit te de tabernaculo et radicem tuam de terra viventium.	7 Who will grant from Zion the salvation of Israel? Jacob will exult, when God will convert the captivity of his people; and Israel will rejoice.
8 Videbunt iusti et timebunt et super eum ridebunt:
9 “ Ecce homo, qui non posuit Deum refugium suum, sed speravit in multitudine divitiarum suarum et praevaluit in insidiis suis ”.
10 Ego autem sicut virens oliva in domo Dei. Speravi in misericordia Dei in aeternum et in saeculum saeculi.
11 Confitebor tibi in saeculum, quia fecisti; et exspectabo nomen tuum, quoniam bonum est, in conspectu sanctorum tuorum.
