1 Salmo. Canto. Per il giorno del sabato.	1 [Psalm Song For the Sabbath] It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, to make music for your name, MostHigh,
2 È bello rendere grazie al Signoree cantare al tuo nome, o Altissimo,	2 to proclaim your faithful love at daybreak, and your constancy al through the night,
3 annunciare al mattino il tuo amore,la tua fedeltà lungo la notte,	3 on the lyre, the ten-stringed lyre, to the murmur of the harp.
4 sulle dieci corde e sull’arpa,con arie sulla cetra.	4 You have brought me joy, Yahweh, by your deeds, at the work of your hands I cry out,
5 Perché mi dai gioia, Signore, con le tue meraviglie,esulto per l’opera delle tue mani.	5 'How great are your works, Yahweh, immensely deep your thoughts!'
6 Come sono grandi le tue opere, Signore,quanto profondi i tuoi pensieri!	6 Stupid people cannot realise this, fools do not grasp it.
7 L’uomo insensato non li conoscee lo stolto non li capisce:	7 The wicked may sprout like weeds, and every evil-doer flourish, but only to be eternally destroyed;
8 se i malvagi spuntano come l’erbae fioriscono tutti i malfattori,è solo per la loro eterna rovina,	8 whereas you are supreme for ever, Yahweh.
9 ma tu, o Signore, sei l’eccelso per sempre.	9 Look how your enemies perish, how all evil-doers are scattered!
10 Ecco, i tuoi nemici, o Signore,i tuoi nemici, ecco, periranno,saranno dispersi tutti i malfattori.	10 You give me the strength of the wild ox, you anoint me with fresh oil;
11 Tu mi doni la forza di un bufalo,mi hai cosparso di olio splendente.	11 I caught sight of the ambush against me, overheard the plans of the wicked.
12 I miei occhi disprezzeranno i miei nemicie, contro quelli che mi assalgono,i miei orecchi udranno sventure.	12 The upright wil flourish like the palm tree, will grow like a cedar of Lebanon.
13 Il giusto fiorirà come palma,crescerà come cedro del Libano;	13 Planted in the house of Yahweh, they wil flourish in the courts of our God.
14 piantati nella casa del Signore,fioriranno negli atri del nostro Dio.	14 In old age they wil stil bear fruit, wil remain fresh and green,
15 Nella vecchiaia daranno ancora frutti,saranno verdi e rigogliosi,	15 to proclaim Yahweh's integrity; my rock, in whom no fault can be found.
16 per annunciare quanto è retto il Signore,mia roccia: in lui non c’è malvagità.
