1 Al maestro del coro. Canto. Salmo.Acclamate Dio, voi tutti della terra,	1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,
2 cantate la gloria del suo nome,dategli gloria con la lode.	2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,
3 Dite a Dio: «Terribili sono le tue opere!Per la grandezza della tua potenzati lusingano i tuoi nemici.	3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,
4 A te si prostri tutta la terra,a te canti inni, canti al tuo nome».	4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause
5 Venite e vedete le opere di Dio,terribile nel suo agire sugli uomini.	5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:
6 Egli cambiò il mare in terraferma;passarono a piedi il fiume:per questo in lui esultiamo di gioia.	6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,
7 Con la sua forza domina in eterno,il suo occhio scruta le genti;contro di lui non si sollevino i ribelli.	7 who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause
8 Popoli, benedite il nostro Dio,fate risuonare la voce della sua lode;	8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 è lui che ci mantiene fra i viventie non ha lasciato vacillare i nostri piedi.	9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.
10 O Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova;ci hai purificati come si purifica l’argento.	10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,
11 Ci hai fatto cadere in un agguato,hai stretto i nostri fianchi in una morsa.	11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,
12 Hai fatto cavalcare uomini sopra le nostre teste;siamo passati per il fuoco e per l’acqua,poi ci hai fatto uscire verso l’abbondanza.	12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.
13 Entrerò nella tua casa con olocausti,a te scioglierò i miei voti,	13 I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,
14 pronunciati dalle mie labbra,promessi dalla mia boccanel momento dell’angoscia.	14 the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.
15 Ti offrirò grassi animali in olocaustocon il fumo odoroso di arieti,ti immolerò tori e capri.	15 I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause
16 Venite, ascoltate, voi tutti che temete Dio,e narrerò quanto per me ha fatto.	16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.
17 A lui gridai con la mia bocca,lo esaltai con la mia lingua.	17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.
18 Se nel mio cuore avessi cercato il male,il Signore non mi avrebbe ascoltato.	18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,
19 Ma Dio ha ascoltato,si è fatto attento alla voce della mia preghiera.	19 but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.
20 Sia benedetto Dio,che non ha respinto la mia preghiera,non mi ha negato la sua misericordia.	20 Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.
