1 Al maestro del coro. Maskil. Di Davide.	1 Unto the end. For Mahalath: the thoughts of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
2 Quando l’idumeo Doeg andò da Saul per informarlo e dirgli: «Davide è entrato in casa di Achimèlec».	2 They were corrupted, and they became abominable with iniquities. There is no one who does good.
3 Perché ti vanti del male, o prepotente?Dio è fedele ogni giorno.	3 God gazed down from heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God.
4 Tu escogiti insidie;la tua lingua è come lama affilata,o artefice d’inganni!	4 All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.
5 Tu ami il male invece del bene,la menzogna invece della giustizia.	5 Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread?
6 Tu ami ogni parola che distrugge,o lingua d’inganno.	6 They have not called upon God. In that place, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. For God has scattered the bones of those who please men. They have been confounded, because God has spurned them.
7 Perciò Dio ti demolirà per sempre,ti spezzerà e ti strapperà dalla tendae ti sradicherà dalla terra dei viventi.	7 Who will grant from Zion the salvation of Israel? Jacob will exult, when God will convert the captivity of his people; and Israel will rejoice.
8 I giusti vedranno e avranno timoree di lui rideranno:
9 «Ecco l’uomo che non ha posto Dio come sua fortezza,ma ha confidato nella sua grande ricchezzae si è fatto forte delle sue insidie».
10 Ma io, come olivo verdeggiante nella casa di Dio,confido nella fedeltà di Dioin eterno e per sempre.
11 Voglio renderti grazie in eternoper quanto hai operato;spero nel tuo nome, perché è buono,davanti ai tuoi fedeli.
