2 Quando l’idumeo Doeg andò da Saul per informarlo e dirgli: «Davide è entrato in casa di Achimèlec».	2 plotting crime? Your tongue is razor-sharp, you artist in perfidy.
3 Perché ti vanti del male, o prepotente?Dio è fedele ogni giorno.	3 You prefer evil to good, lying to uprightness. Pause
4 Tu escogiti insidie;la tua lingua è come lama affilata,o artefice d’inganni!	4 You revel in destructive talk, treacherous tongue!
5 Tu ami il male invece del bene,la menzogna invece della giustizia.	5 That is why God wil crush you, destroy you once and for all, snatch you from your tent, uproot youfrom the land of the living.Pause
6 Tu ami ogni parola che distrugge,o lingua d’inganno.	6 The upright wil be awestruck as they see it, they wil mock him,
7 Perciò Dio ti demolirà per sempre,ti spezzerà e ti strapperà dalla tendae ti sradicherà dalla terra dei viventi.	7 'So much for someone who would not place his reliance in God, but relied on his own great wealth,and made himself strong by crime.'
8 I giusti vedranno e avranno timoree di lui rideranno:	8 But I, like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God, put my trust in God's faithful love, for ever andever.
9 «Ecco l’uomo che non ha posto Dio come sua fortezza,ma ha confidato nella sua grande ricchezzae si è fatto forte delle sue insidie».	9 I shal praise you for ever for what you have done, and shal trust in your name, so ful of goodness, inthe presence of your faithful.
10 Ma io, come olivo verdeggiante nella casa di Dio,confido nella fedeltà di Dioin eterno e per sempre.
11 Voglio renderti grazie in eternoper quanto hai operato;spero nel tuo nome, perché è buono,davanti ai tuoi fedeli.
