1 Supplica. Di Davide.Signore, tendi l’orecchio, rispondimi,perché io sono povero e misero.	1 [Prayer Of David] Listen to me, Yahweh, answer me, for I am poor and needy.
2 Custodiscimi perché sono fedele;tu, Dio mio, salva il tuo servo, che in te confida.	2 Guard me, for I am faithful, save your servant who relies on you. You are my God,
3 Pietà di me, Signore,a te grido tutto il giorno.	3 take pity on me, Lord, for to you I cry al the day.
4 Rallegra la vita del tuo servo,perché a te, Signore, rivolgo l’anima mia.	4 Fil your servant's heart with joy, Lord, for to you I raise up my heart.
5 Tu sei buono, Signore, e perdoni,sei pieno di misericordia con chi t’invoca.	5 Lord, you are kind and forgiving, rich in faithful love for al who cal upon you.
6 Porgi l’orecchio, Signore, alla mia preghierae sii attento alla voce delle mie suppliche.	6 Yahweh, hear my prayer, listen to the sound of my pleading.
7 Nel giorno dell’angoscia alzo a te il mio gridoperché tu mi rispondi.	7 In my day of distress I cal upon you, because you answer me, Lord;
8 Fra gli dèi nessuno è come te, Signore,e non c’è nulla come le tue opere.	8 among the gods there is none to compare with you, no great deeds to compare with yours.
9 Tutte le genti che hai creato verrannoe si prostreranno davanti a te, Signore,per dare gloria al tuo nome.	9 Al nations wil come and adore you, Lord, and give glory to your name.
10 Grande tu sei e compi meraviglie:tu solo sei Dio.	10 For you are great and do marvel ous deeds, you, God, and none other.
11 Mostrami, Signore, la tua via,perché nella tua verità io cammini;tieni unito il mio cuore,perché tema il tuo nome.	11 Teach me, Yahweh, your ways, that I may not stray from your loyalty; let my heart's one aim be tofear your name.
12 Ti loderò, Signore, mio Dio, con tutto il cuoree darò gloria al tuo nome per sempre,	12 I thank you with al my heart, Lord my God, I wil glorify your name for ever,
13 perché grande con me è la tua misericordia:hai liberato la mia vita dal profondo degli inferi.	13 for your faithful love for me is so great that you have rescued me from the depths of Sheol.
14 O Dio, gli arroganti contro di me sono insortie una banda di prepotenti insidia la mia vita,non pongono te davanti ai loro occhi.	14 Arrogant men, God, are rising up against me, a brutal gang is after my life, in their scheme of thingsyou have no place.
15 Ma tu, Signore, Dio misericordioso e pietoso,lento all’ira e ricco di amore e di fedeltà,	15 But you, Lord, God of tenderness and mercy, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and loyalty,
16 volgiti a me e abbi pietà:dona al tuo servo la tua forza,salva il figlio della tua serva.	16 turn to me and pity me. Give to your servant your strength, to the child of your servant your savinghelp,
17 Dammi un segno di bontà;vedano quelli che mi odiano e si vergognino,perché tu, Signore, mi aiuti e mi consoli.	17 give me a sign of your kindness.
	18 My enemies wil see to their shame that you, Yahweh, help and console me.
