1 Precatio. David. Inclina, Domine, aurem tuam et exaudi me, quoniam inops et pauper sum ego.	1 [Prayer Of David] Listen to me, Yahweh, answer me, for I am poor and needy.
2 Custodi animam meam, quoniam sanctus sum; salvum fac servum tuum, Deus meus, sperantem in te	2 Guard me, for I am faithful, save your servant who relies on you. You are my God,
3 Miserere mei, Domine, quoniam ad te clamavi tota die.	3 take pity on me, Lord, for to you I cry al the day.
4 Laetifica animam servi tui, quoniam ad te, Domine, animam meam levavi.	4 Fil your servant's heart with joy, Lord, for to you I raise up my heart.
5 Quoniam tu, Domine, suavis et mitis et multae misericordiae omnibus invocantibus te. -	5 Lord, you are kind and forgiving, rich in faithful love for al who cal upon you.
6 Auribus percipe, Domine, orationem meam et intende voci deprecationis meae.	6 Yahweh, hear my prayer, listen to the sound of my pleading.
7 In die tribulationis meae clamavi ad te, quia exaudies me.	7 In my day of distress I cal upon you, because you answer me, Lord;
8 Non est similis tui in diis, Domine, et nihil sicut opera tua.	8 among the gods there is none to compare with you, no great deeds to compare with yours.
9 Omnes gentes, quascumque fecisti, venient et adorabunt coram te, Domine, et glorificabunt nomen tuum,	9 Al nations wil come and adore you, Lord, and give glory to your name.
10 quoniam magnus es tu et faciens mirabilia: tu es Deus solus.	10 For you are great and do marvel ous deeds, you, God, and none other.
11 Doce me, Domine, viam tuam, et ingrediar in veritate tua; simplex fac cor meum, ut timeat nomen tuum.	11 Teach me, Yahweh, your ways, that I may not stray from your loyalty; let my heart's one aim be tofear your name.
12 Confitebor tibi, Domine Deus meus, in toto corde meo et glorificabo nomen tuum in aeternum,	12 I thank you with al my heart, Lord my God, I wil glorify your name for ever,
13 quia misericordia tua magna est super me, et eruisti animam meam ex inferno inferiori.	13 for your faithful love for me is so great that you have rescued me from the depths of Sheol.
14 Deus, superbi insurrexerunt super me, et synagoga potentium quaesierunt animam meam et non proposuerunt te in conspectu suo.	14 Arrogant men, God, are rising up against me, a brutal gang is after my life, in their scheme of thingsyou have no place.
15 Et tu, Domine, Deus miserator et misericors, patiens et multae misericordiae et veritatis,	15 But you, Lord, God of tenderness and mercy, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and loyalty,
16 respice in me et miserere mei; da fortitudinem tuam puero tuo et salvum fac filium ancillae tuae.	16 turn to me and pity me. Give to your servant your strength, to the child of your servant your savinghelp,
17 Fac mecum signum in bonum, ut videant, qui oderunt me, et confundantur, quoniam tu, Domine, adiuvisti me et consolatus es me.	17 give me a sign of your kindness.
	18 My enemies wil see to their shame that you, Yahweh, help and console me.
