1 Cantico. Salmo. Dei figli di Core.	1 [Song Psalm Of the sons of Korah] Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God,the holy mountain,
2 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lodenella città del nostro Dio.La tua santa montagna,	2 towering in beauty, the joy of the whole world: Mount Zion in the heart of the north, the settlement ofthe great king;
3 altura stupenda,è la gioia di tutta la terra.Il monte Sion, vera dimora divina,è la capitale del grande re.	3 God himself among its palaces has proved himself its bulwark.
4 Dio nei suoi palazziun baluardo si è dimostrato.	4 For look, kings made al iance, together they advanced;
5 Ecco, i re si erano alleati,avanzavano insieme.	5 without a second glance, when they saw, they panicked and fled away.
6 Essi hanno visto:atterriti, presi dal panico, sono fuggiti.	6 Trembling seized them on the spot, pains like those of a woman in labour;
7 Là uno sgomento li ha colti,doglie come di partoriente,	7 it was the east wind, that wrecker of ships from Tarshish.
8 simile al vento orientale,che squarcia le navi di Tarsis.	8 What we had heard we saw for ourselves in the city of our God, in the city of Yahweh Sabaoth, whichGod has established for ever.Pause
9 Come avevamo udito, così abbiamo vistonella città del Signore degli eserciti,nella città del nostro Dio;Dio l’ha fondata per sempre.	9 We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple!
10 O Dio, meditiamo il tuo amoredentro il tuo tempio.	10 Both your name and your praise, God, are over the whole wide world. Your right hand is ful of savingjustice,
11 Come il tuo nome, o Dio,così la tua lode si estendesino all’estremità della terra;di giustizia è piena la tua destra.	11 Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice.
12 Gioisca il monte Sion,esultino i villaggi di Giudaa causa dei tuoi giudizi.	12 Go round Zion, walk right through her, count her bastions,
13 Circondate Sion, giratele intorno,contate le sue torri,	13 admire her walls, examine her palaces, to tel future generations
14 osservate le sue mura,passate in rassegna le sue fortezze,per narrare alla generazione futura:	14 that such is God; our God for ever and ever, he is our guide!
15 questo è Dio,il nostro Dio in eterno e per sempre;egli è colui che ci guida in ogni tempo.
