2 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lodenella città del nostro Dio.La tua santa montagna,	2 Great is the LORD and highly praised in the city of our God: The holy mountain,
3 altura stupenda,è la gioia di tutta la terra.Il monte Sion, vera dimora divina,è la capitale del grande re.	3 fairest of heights, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, the heights of Zaphon, the city of the great king.
4 Dio nei suoi palazziun baluardo si è dimostrato.	4 God is its citadel, renowned as a stronghold.
5 Ecco, i re si erano alleati,avanzavano insieme.	5 See! The kings assembled, together they invaded.
6 Essi hanno visto:atterriti, presi dal panico, sono fuggiti.	6 When they looked they were astounded; terrified, they were put to flight!
7 Là uno sgomento li ha colti,doglie come di partoriente,	7 Trembling seized them there, anguish, like a woman's labor,
8 simile al vento orientale,che squarcia le navi di Tarsis.	8 As when the east wind wrecks the ships of Tarshish!
9 Come avevamo udito, così abbiamo vistonella città del Signore degli eserciti,nella città del nostro Dio;Dio l’ha fondata per sempre.	9 What we had heard we now see in the city of the LORD of hosts, In the city of our God, founded to last forever. Selah
10 O Dio, meditiamo il tuo amoredentro il tuo tempio.	10 O God, within your temple we ponder your steadfast love.
11 Come il tuo nome, o Dio,così la tua lode si estendesino all’estremità della terra;di giustizia è piena la tua destra.	11 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches the ends of the earth. Your right hand is fully victorious.
12 Gioisca il monte Sion,esultino i villaggi di Giudaa causa dei tuoi giudizi.	12 Mount Zion is glad! The cities of Judah rejoice because of your saving deeds!
13 Circondate Sion, giratele intorno,contate le sue torri,	13 Go about Zion, walk all around it, note the number of its towers.
14 osservate le sue mura,passate in rassegna le sue fortezze,per narrare alla generazione futura:	14 Consider the ramparts, examine its citadels, that you may tell future generations:
15 questo è Dio,il nostro Dio in eterno e per sempre;egli è colui che ci guida in ogni tempo.	15 "Yes, so mighty is God, our God who leads us always!"
