1 Al maestro del coro. Su «I gigli». Dei figli di Core. Maskil. Canto d’amore.	1 Unto the end. To the sons of Korah, for confidants. A Psalm.
2 Liete parole mi sgorgano dal cuore:io proclamo al re il mio poema,la mia lingua è come stilo di scriba veloce.	2 Our God is our refuge and strength, a helper in the tribulations that have greatly overwhelmed us.
3 Tu sei il più bello tra i figli dell’uomo,sulle tue labbra è diffusa la grazia,perciò Dio ti ha benedetto per sempre.	3 Because of this, we will not be afraid when the earth will be turbulent and the mountains will be transferred into the heart of the sea.
4 O prode, cingiti al fianco la spada,tua gloria e tuo vanto,	4 They thundered, and the waters were stirred up among them; the mountains have been disturbed by his strength.
5 e avanza trionfante.Cavalca per la causa della verità,della mitezza e della giustizia.La tua destra ti mostri prodigi.	5 The frenzy of the river rejoices the city of God. The Most High has sanctified his tabernacle.
6 Le tue frecce sono acute –sotto di te cadono i popoli –,colpiscono al cuore i nemici del re.	6 God is in its midst; it will not be shaken. God will assist it in the early morning.
7 Il tuo trono, o Dio, dura per sempre;scettro di rettitudine è il tuo scettro regale.	7 The peoples have been disturbed, and the kingdoms have been bowed down. He uttered his voice: the earth has been moved.
8 Ami la giustizia e la malvagità detesti:Dio, il tuo Dio, ti ha consacratocon olio di letizia, a preferenza dei tuoi compagni.	8 The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our supporter.
9 Di mirra, àloe e cassiaprofumano tutte le tue vesti;da palazzi d’avorio ti rallegriil suono di strumenti a corda.	9 Draw near and behold the works of the Lord: what portents he has set upon the earth,
10 Figlie di re fra le tue predilette;alla tua destra sta la regina, in ori di Ofir.	10 carrying away wars even to the end of the earth. He will crush the bow and break the weapons, and he will burn the shield with fire.
11 Ascolta, figlia, guarda, porgi l’orecchio:dimentica il tuo popolo e la casa di tuo padre;	11 Be empty, and see that I am God. I will be exalted among the peoples, and I will be exalted upon the earth.
12 il re è invaghito della tua bellezza.È lui il tuo signore: rendigli omaggio.	12 The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our supporter.
13 Gli abitanti di Tiro portano doni,i più ricchi del popolo cercano il tuo favore.
14 Entra la figlia del re: è tutta splendore,tessuto d’oro è il suo vestito.
15 È condotta al re in broccati preziosi;dietro a lei le vergini, sue compagne,a te sono presentate;
16 condotte in gioia ed esultanza,sono presentate nel palazzo del re.
17 Ai tuoi padri succederanno i tuoi figli;li farai prìncipi di tutta la terra.
18 Il tuo nome voglio far ricordare per tutte le generazioni;così i popoli ti loderanno in eterno, per sempre.
