NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ALLELUIA. ALEPH. Confitebor Domino in toto corde meo, BETH. in consilio iustorum et congregatione.	1 Al eluia! I give thanks to Yahweh with al my heart, in the meeting-place of honest people, in theassembly.
2 GHIMEL. Magna opera Domini, DALETH. exquirenda omnibus, qui cupiunt ea.	2 Great are the deeds of Yahweh, to be pondered by al who delight in them.
3 HE. Decor et magnificentia opus eius, VAU. et iustitia eius manet in saeculum saeculi.	3 Ful of splendour and majesty his work, his saving justice stands firm for ever.
4 ZAIN. Memoriam fecit mirabilium suorum, HETH. misericors et miserator Dominus.	4 He gives us a memorial of his great deeds; Yahweh is mercy and tenderness.
5 TETH. Escam dedit timentibus se; IOD. memor erit in saeculum testamenti sui.	5 He gives food to those who fear him, he keeps his covenant ever in mind.
6 CAPH. Virtutem operum suorum annuntiavit populo suo, LAMED. ut det illis hereditatem gentium;	6 His works show his people his power in giving them the birthright of the nations.
7 MEM. opera manuum eius veritas et iudicium. NUN. Fidelia omnia mandata eius,	7 The works of his hands are fidelity and justice, al his precepts are trustworthy,
8 SAMECH. confirmata in saeculum saeculi, AIN. facta in veritate et aequitate.	8 established for ever and ever, accomplished in fidelity and honesty.
9 PHE. Redemptionem misit populo suo, SADE. mandavit in aeternum testamentum suum. COPH. Sanctum et terribile nomen eius.	9 Deliverance he sends to his people, his covenant he imposes for ever; holy and awesome his name.
10 RES. Initium sapientiae timor Domini, SIN. intellectus bonus omnibus facientibus ea; TAU. laudatio eius manet in saeculum saeculi.	10 The root of wisdom is fear of Yahweh; those who attain it are wise. His praise wil continue for ever.
