1 Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide.	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Listen, God, to my voice as I plead, protect my life from fear ofthe enemy;
2 Ascolta, o Dio, la voce del mio lamento,dal terrore del nemico proteggi la mia vita.	2 hide me from the league of the wicked, from the gang of evil-doers.
3 Tienimi lontano dal complotto dei malvagi,dal tumulto di chi opera il male.	3 They sharpen their tongues like a sword, aim their arrows of poisonous abuse,
4 Affilano la loro lingua come spada,scagliano come frecce parole amare	4 shoot at the innocent from cover, shoot suddenly, with nothing to fear.
5 per colpire di nascosto l’innocente;lo colpiscono all’improvviso e non hanno timore.	5 They support each other in their evil designs, they discuss how to lay their snares. 'Who wil see us?'they say,
6 Si ostinano a fare il male,progettano di nascondere tranelli;dicono: «Chi potrà vederli?».	6 'or wil penetrate our secrets?' He wil do that, he who penetrates human nature to its depths, thedepths of the heart.
7 Tramano delitti,attuano le trame che hanno ordito;l’intimo dell’uomo e il suo cuore: un abisso!	7 God has shot them with his arrow, sudden were their wounds.
8 Ma Dio li colpisce con le sue frecce:all’improvviso sono feriti,	8 He brings them down because of their tongue, and al who see them shake their heads.
9 la loro stessa lingua li manderà in rovina,chiunque, al vederli, scuoterà la testa.	9 Everyone wil be awestruck, proclaim what God has done, and understand why he has done it.
10 Allora ognuno sarà preso da timore,annuncerà le opere di Dioe saprà discernere il suo agire.	10 The upright wil rejoice in Yahweh, wil take refuge in him, and al the honest wil praise him.
11 Il giusto gioirà nel Signoree riporrà in lui la sua speranza:si glorieranno tutti i retti di cuore.
