Magistro chori. Secundum " Torcularia ". Filiorum Core. Psalmus. | 1 Unto the end. A Psalm to the sons of Korah. |
Quam dilecta tabernacula tua, Domine virtutum! | 2 O Lord, you have blessed your land. You have turned aside the captivity of Jacob. |
Concupiscit et deficit anima mea in atria Domini. Cor meum et caro mea exsultaverunt in Deum vivum. | 3 You have released the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sins. |
Etenim passer invenit sibi domum, et turtur nidum sibi, ubi ponat pullos suos: altaria tua, Domine virtutum, rex meus et Deus meus. | 4 You have mitigated all your wrath. You have turned aside from the wrath of your indignation. |
Beati, qui habitant in domo tua: in perpetuum laudabunt te. | 5 Convert us, O God, our Savior, and turn your anger away from us. |
Beatus vir, cuius est auxilium abs te, ascensiones in corde suo disposuit. | 6 Will you be angry with us forever? And will you extend your wrath from generation to generation? |
Transeuntes per vallem sitientem in fontem ponent eam, etenim benedictionibus vestiet eam pluvia matutina. | 7 O God, you will turn back and revive us. And your people will rejoice in you. |
Ibunt de virtute in virtutem, videbitur Deus deorum in Sion. | 8 O Lord, reveal to us your mercy, and grant to us your salvation. |
Domine, Deus virtutum, exaudi orationem meam; auribus percipe, Deus Iacob. | 9 I will listen to what the Lord God may be saying to me. For he will speak peace to his people, and to his saints, and to those who are being converted to the heart. |
Protector noster aspice, Deus, et respice in faciem christi tui. | 10 So then, truly his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that glory may inhabit our land. |
Quia melior est dies una in atriis tuis super milia, elegi ad limen esse in domo Dei mei magis quam habitare in tabernaculis peccatorum. | 11 Mercy and truth have met each other. Justice and peace have kissed. |
Quia sol et scutum est Dominus Deus, gratiam et gloriam dabit Dominus; non privabit bonis eos, qui ambulant in innocentia. | 12 Truth has risen from the earth, and justice has gazed down from heaven. |
Domine virtutum, beatus homo, qui sperat in te. | 13 For so will the Lord give goodness, and our earth will give her fruit. |
Justice will walk before him, and he will set his steps upon the way. |
