1 Canto delle salite. Di Davide.Quale gioia, quando mi dissero:«Andremo alla casa del Signore!».	1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
2 Già sono fermi i nostri piedialle tue porte, Gerusalemme!	2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Gerusalemme è costruitacome città unita e compatta.	3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.
4 È là che salgono le tribù,le tribù del Signore,secondo la legge d’Israele,per lodare il nome del Signore.	4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5 Là sono posti i troni del giudizio,i troni della casa di Davide.	5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Chiedete pace per Gerusalemme:vivano sicuri quelli che ti amano;	6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!
7 sia pace nelle tue mura,sicurezza nei tuoi palazzi.	7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."
8 Per i miei fratelli e i miei amiciio dirò: «Su te sia pace!».	8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."
9 Per la casa del Signore nostro Dio,chiederò per te il bene.	9 For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."
