BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Perché le genti sono in tumultoe i popoli cospirano invano?	1 Why this uproar among the nations, this impotent muttering of the peoples?
2 Insorgono i re della terrae i prìncipi congiurano insiemecontro il Signore e il suo consacrato:	2 Kings of the earth take up position, princes plot together against Yahweh and his anointed,
3 «Spezziamo le loro catene,gettiamo via da noi il loro giogo!».	3 'Now let us break their fetters! Now let us throw off their bonds!'
4 Ride colui che sta nei cieli,il Signore si fa beffe di loro.	4 He who is enthroned in the heavens laughs, Yahweh makes a mockery of them,
5 Egli parla nella sua ira,li spaventa con la sua collera:	5 then in his anger rebukes them, in his rage he strikes them with terror.
6 «Io stesso ho stabilito il mio sovranosul Sion, mia santa montagna».	6 'I myself have anointed my king on Zion my holy mountain.'
7 Voglio annunciare il decreto del Signore.Egli mi ha detto: «Tu sei mio figlio,io oggi ti ho generato.	7 I wil proclaim the decree of Yahweh: He said to me, 'You are my son, today have I fathered you.
8 Chiedimi e ti darò in eredità le gentie in tuo dominio le terre più lontane.	8 Ask of me, and I shal give you the nations as your birthright, the whole wide world as your possession.
9 Le spezzerai con scettro di ferro,come vaso di argilla le frantumerai».	9 With an iron sceptre you wil break them, shatter them like so many pots.'
10 E ora siate saggi, o sovrani;lasciatevi correggere, o giudici della terra;	10 So now, you kings, come to your senses, you earthly rulers, learn your lesson!
11 servite il Signore con timoree rallegratevi con tremore.	11 In fear be submissive to Yahweh;
12 Imparate la disciplina,perché non si adiri e voi perdiate la via:in un attimo divampa la sua ira.Beato chi in lui si rifugia.	12 with trembling kiss his feet, lest he be angry and your way come to nothing, for his fury flares up in amoment. How blessed are al who take refuge in him!
