1 Maskil. Di Davide. Quando era nella caverna. Preghiera.	1 A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer. I cry with my voice to the LORD, with my voice I make supplication to the LORD,
2 Con la mia voce grido al Signore,con la mia voce supplico il Signore;	2 I pour out my complaint before him, I tell my trouble before him.
3 davanti a lui sfogo il mio lamento,davanti a lui espongo la mia angoscia,	3 When my spirit is faint, thou knowest my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.
4 mentre il mio spirito viene meno.Tu conosci la mia via:nel sentiero dove camminomi hanno teso un laccio.	4 I look to the right and watch, but there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me, no man cares for me.
5 Guarda a destra e vedi:nessuno mi riconosce.Non c’è per me via di scampo,nessuno ha cura della mia vita.	5 I cry to thee, O LORD; I say, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
6 Io grido a te, Signore!Dico: «Sei tu il mio rifugio,sei tu la mia eredità nella terra dei viventi».	6 Give heed to my cry; for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors; for they are too strong for me!
7 Ascolta la mia supplicaperché sono così misero!Liberami dai miei persecutoriperché sono più forti di me.	7 Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to thy name! The righteous will surround me; for thou wilt deal bountifully with me.
8 Fa’ uscire dal carcere la mia vita,perché io renda grazie al tuo nome;i giusti mi faranno coronaquando tu mi avrai colmato di beni.
