1 Alleluia.(Alef) Beato l’uomo che teme il Signore(Bet) e nei suoi precetti trova grande gioia.	1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord, children. Praise the name of the Lord.
2 (Ghimel) Potente sulla terra sarà la sua stirpe,(Dalet) la discendenza degli uomini retti sarà benedetta.	2 Blessed is the name of the Lord, from this time forward and even forever.
3 (He) Prosperità e ricchezza nella sua casa,(Vau) la sua giustizia rimane per sempre.	3 From the rising of the sun, even to its setting, praiseworthy is the name of the Lord.
4 (Zain) Spunta nelle tenebre, luce per gli uomini retti:(Het) misericordioso, pietoso e giusto.	4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory is high above the heavens.
5 (Tet) Felice l’uomo pietoso che dà in prestito,(Iod) amministra i suoi beni con giustizia.	5 Who is like the Lord, our God, who dwells on high,

7 (Mem) Cattive notizie non avrà da temere,(Nun) saldo è il suo cuore, confida nel Signore.	7 He lifts up the needy from the ground, and he urges the poor away from filth,
8 (Samec) 8 Sicuro è il suo cuore, non teme,(Ain) finché non vedrà la rovina dei suoi nemici.	8 so that he may place him with the leaders, with the leaders of his people.

10 (Res) Il malvagio vede e va in collera,(Sin) digrigna i denti e si consuma.(Tau) Ma il desiderio dei malvagi va in rovina.
