1 Alleluia.(Alef) Beato l’uomo che teme il Signore(Bet) e nei suoi precetti trova grande gioia.	1 Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.
2 (Ghimel) Potente sulla terra sarà la sua stirpe,(Dalet) la discendenza degli uomini retti sarà benedetta.	2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 (He) Prosperità e ricchezza nella sua casa,(Vau) la sua giustizia rimane per sempre.	3 Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.
4 (Zain) Spunta nelle tenebre, luce per gli uomini retti:(Het) misericordioso, pietoso e giusto.	4 To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just.
5 (Tet) Felice l’uomo pietoso che dà in prestito,(Iod) amministra i suoi beni con giustizia.	5 Acceptable is the man that showeth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment:
6 (Caf) Egli non vacillerà in eterno:(Lamed) eterno sarà il ricordo del giusto.	6 because he shall not be moved for ever.
7 (Mem) Cattive notizie non avrà da temere,(Nun) saldo è il suo cuore, confida nel Signore.	7 The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not hear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord:
8 (Samec) 8 Sicuro è il suo cuore, non teme,(Ain) finché non vedrà la rovina dei suoi nemici.	8 his heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.
9 (Pe) Egli dona largamente ai poveri,(Sade) la sua giustizia rimane per sempre,(Kof) la sua fronte s’innalza nella gloria.	9 He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory.
10 (Res) Il malvagio vede e va in collera,(Sin) digrigna i denti e si consuma.(Tau) Ma il desiderio dei malvagi va in rovina.	10 The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
