1 Al maestro del coro. Per strumenti a corda. Sull’ottava. Salmo. Di Davide.	1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Signore, non punirmi nella tua ira,non castigarmi nel tuo furore.	2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3 Pietà di me, Signore, sono sfinito;guariscimi, Signore: tremano le mie ossa.	3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4 Trema tutta l’anima mia.Ma tu, Signore, fino a quando?	4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5 Ritorna, Signore, libera la mia vita,salvami per la tua misericordia.	5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 Nessuno tra i morti ti ricorda.Chi negli inferi canta le tue lodi?	6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Sono stremato dai miei lamenti,ogni notte inondo di pianto il mio giaciglio,bagno di lacrime il mio letto.	7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 I miei occhi nel dolore si consumano,invecchiano fra tante mie afflizioni.	8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 Via da me, voi tutti che fate il male:il Signore ascolta la voce del mio pianto.	9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10 Il Signore ascolta la mia supplica,il Signore accoglie la mia preghiera.	10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
11 Si vergognino e tremino molto tutti i miei nemici,tornino indietro e si vergognino all’istante.
