1 Canto delle salite.Dal profondo a te grido, o Signore;	1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2 Signore, ascolta la mia voce.Siano i tuoi orecchi attentialla voce della mia supplica.	2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 Se consideri le colpe, Signore,Signore, chi ti può resistere?	3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 Ma con te è il perdono:così avremo il tuo timore.	4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 Io spero, Signore.Spera l’anima mia,attendo la sua parola.	5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 L’anima mia è rivolta al Signorepiù che le sentinelle all’aurora.Più che le sentinelle l’aurora,	6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7 Israele attenda il Signore,perché con il Signore è la misericordiae grande è con lui la redenzione.	7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8 Egli redimerà Israeleda tutte le sue colpe.	8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
