BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Salmo. Di Asaf.O Dio, nella tua eredità sono entrate le genti:hanno profanato il tuo santo tempio,hanno ridotto Gerusalemme in macerie.	1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God, the pagans have invaded your heritage, they have defiled your holy temple,they have laid Jerusalem in ruins,
2 Hanno abbandonato i cadaveri dei tuoi serviin pasto agli uccelli del cielo,la carne dei tuoi fedeli agli animali selvatici.	2 they have left the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the air, the bodies of your faithful forthe wild beasts.
3 Hanno versato il loro sangue come acquaintorno a Gerusalemmee nessuno seppelliva.	3 Around Jerusalem they have shed blood like water, leaving no one to bury them.
4 Siamo divenuti il disprezzo dei nostri vicini,lo scherno e la derisione di chi ci sta intorno.	4 We are the scorn of our neighbours, the butt and laughing-stock of those around us.
5 Fino a quando sarai adirato, Signore: per sempre?Arderà come fuoco la tua gelosia?	5 How long will you be angry, Yahweh? For ever? Is your jealousy to go on smouldering like a fire?
6 Riversa il tuo sdegno sulle genti che non ti riconosconoe sui regni che non invocano il tuo nome,	6 Pour out your anger on the nations who do not acknowledge you, and on the kingdoms that do not callon your name;
7 perché hanno divorato Giacobbe,hanno devastato la sua dimora.	7 for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his home.
8 Non imputare a noi le colpe dei nostri antenati:presto ci venga incontro la tua misericordia,perché siamo così poveri!	8 Do not count against us the guilt of former generations, in your tenderness come quickly to meet us,for we are utterly weakened;
9 Aiutaci, o Dio, nostra salvezza,per la gloria del tuo nome;liberaci e perdona i nostri peccatia motivo del tuo nome.	9 help us, God our Saviour, for the glory of your name; Yahweh, wipe away our sins, rescue us for thesake of your name.
10 Perché le genti dovrebbero dire:«Dov’è il loro Dio?».Si conosca tra le genti, sotto i nostri occhi,la vendetta per il sangue versato dei tuoi servi.	10 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?' Let us see the nations suffer vengeance forshedding your servants' blood.
11 Giunga fino a te il gemito dei prigionieri;con la grandezza del tuo bracciosalva i condannati a morte.	11 May the groans of the captive reach you, by your great strength save those who are condemned todeath!
12 Fa’ ricadere sette volte sui nostri vicini, dentro di loro,l’insulto con cui ti hanno insultato, Signore.	12 Repay our neighbours sevenfold for the insults they have level ed at you, Lord.
13 E noi, tuo popolo e gregge del tuo pascolo,ti renderemo grazie per sempre;di generazione in generazione narreremo la tua lode.	13 And we, your people, the flock that you pasture, will thank you for ever, wil recite your praises fromage to age.
