1 Alleluia.Loda il Signore, anima mia:	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh, my soul!
2 loderò il Signore finché ho vita,canterò inni al mio Dio finché esisto.	2 I wil praise Yahweh al my life, I will make music to my God as long as I live.
3 Non confidate nei potenti,in un uomo che non può salvare.	3 Do not put your trust in princes, in any child of Adam, who has no power to save.
4 Esala lo spirito e ritorna alla terra:in quel giorno svaniscono tutti i suoi disegni.	4 When his spirit goes forth he returns to the earth, on that very day al his plans come to nothing.
5 Beato chi ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe:la sua speranza è nel Signore suo Dio,	5 How blessed is he who has Jacob's God to help him, his hope is in Yahweh his God,
6 che ha fatto il cielo e la terra,il mare e quanto contiene,che rimane fedele per sempre,	6 who made heaven and earth, the sea and al that is in them. He keeps faith for ever,
7 rende giustizia agli oppressi,dà il pane agli affamati.Il Signore libera i prigionieri,	7 gives justice to the oppressed, gives food to the hungry; Yahweh sets prisoners free.
8 il Signore ridona la vista ai ciechi,il Signore rialza chi è caduto,il Signore ama i giusti,	8 Yahweh gives sight to the blind, lifts up those who are bowed down.
9 il Signore protegge i forestieri,egli sostiene l’orfano e la vedova,ma sconvolge le vie dei malvagi.	9 Yahweh protects the stranger, he sustains the orphan and the widow. Yahweh loves the upright,buthe frustrates the wicked.
10 Il Signore regna per sempre,il tuo Dio, o Sion, di generazione in generazione.Alleluia.	10 Yahweh reigns for ever, your God, Zion, from age to age.
