1 Canto delle salite.Quanto mi hanno perseguitato fin dalla giovinezza– lo dica Israele –,	1 Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: that walk in his ways.
2 quanto mi hanno perseguitato fin dalla giovinezza,ma su di me non hanno prevalso!	2 For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Sul mio dorso hanno arato gli aratori,hanno scavato lunghi solchi.	3 Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house.
4 Il Signore è giusto:ha spezzato le funi dei malvagi.	4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 Si vergognino e volgano le spalletutti quelli che odiano Sion.	5 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Siano come l’erba dei tetti:prima che sia strappata, è già secca;	6 And mayest thou see thy children's children, peace upon Israel.
7 non riempie la mano al mietitorené il grembo a chi raccoglie covoni.
8 I passanti non possono dire:«La benedizione del Signore sia su di voi,
9 vi benediciamo nel nome del Signore».
