Isaia 16

1 Manda, o Signore, l'Agnello dominatore della terra, dalla pietra del deserto al monte della figliuola di Sion.	1 O Lord, send forth the Lamb, the Ruler of the earth, from the Rock of the desert to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.
2 E saranno le figlie di Moab al passaggio del Arnon, come un uccello, che fugge, e come i pulcini, che volano fuori del nidio.	2 And this shall be: like a bird fleeing away, and like fledglings flying from the nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the passage of Arnon.
3 Fa consulte, aduna consigli; fa si,che la tua ombra sia di mezzo giorno come una notte, nascondi i fuggitivi, e non tradire i vagabondi.	3 Form a plan. Call a council. Let your shadow be as if it were night, even at midday. Conceal the fugitives, and do not betray the wanderers.
4 Abbiano abitazione presso di te i miei fuggitivi. Sii tu, o Moab, il lor nascondiglio contro il devastatore; imperocché la polvere è finita, quel miserabile è perito, è venuto meno colui che conculcava la terra.	4 My fugitives will live with you. Become a hiding place, O Moab, from the face of the destroyer. For the dust is at its end; the miserable one has been consumed. He who trampled the earth has failed.
5 E sarà stabilito il trono sopra la misericordia, e sopra di esso sederà nella casa di David un giudice verace, e amante della giustizia, ed il quale farà con prontezza quello, che è giusto.	5 And a throne will be prepared in mercy, and One shall sit upon it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment, and quickly repaying what is just.
6 Abbiam sentito parlare della superbia di Moab; egli è grandemente superbo: la sua superbia, e l'arroganza, e l'impetuosità di lui passano la sua possanza.	6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud. His pride and his arrogance and his indignation is more than his strength.
7 Per questo Moab urlerà contro di Moab, urleranno tutti quanti. A que', che vanno superbi per muraglie di mattoni cotti al fuoco, annunziate le loro piaghe.	7 For this reason, Moab will wail to Moab; each one will wail. Speak of their wounds to those who rejoice upon the brick walls.
8 Perocché i sobborghi di Hesebon son deserti,è stata troncata dai principi delle nazioni la vigna di Sabama, i tralci di cui son arrivati fino a Jazer, si sono aggirati pel deserto; le sue profagini, che rimanevano, son passate di là dal mare.	8 For the suburbs of Heshbon are deserted, and the lords of the Gentiles have cut down the vineyard of Sibmah. Its vines have arrived even at Jazer. They have wandered in the desert. Its seedlings have been abandoned. They have crossed over the sea.
9 Per questo io piangerò al pianto di Jazer, piangerò la vigna di Sabama; te bagnerò io colle mie lagrime, o Hesebon, e te, o Eleala; perocché a conculcare le tue vindemmie, e le tue messi son venuti con furore, e con istrida (i nemici.)	9 I will weep with the tears of Jazer over this, the vineyard of Sibmah. I will inebriate you with my tears, Heshbon and Elealeh! For the sound of those who trample has rushed over your vintage and over your harvest.
10 E fuggirà la letizia, e l'esultazione dal Carmelo, e non sarà più festa, né giubilo; e colui, che soleva premere il vino nello strettoio, più noi premerà: ed ho tolte via le sue canzoni.	10 And so, rejoicing and exultation will be taken away from Carmel, and there will be no jubilation or exultation in the vineyards. He who was accustomed to tread will not tread out the wine in the winepress. I have taken away the sound of those who tread.
11 Per questo le mie interiora, e le mie viscere daranno suono lugubre quasi cetra sulle sciagure di Moab, e sulla rovina della muraglia di mattone cotto al fuoco.	11 Over this, my heart will resonate like a harp for Moab, and my inner most being for the brick wall.
12 E avverrà, che quando Moab si sarà stancato ne' suoi luoghi eccelsi, anderà per orare ne' suoi santuari, e non potrà.	12 And this shall be: when it is seen that Moab has struggled upon his high places, he will enter his holy places to pray, but he will not prevail.
13 Questa è la parola, che il Signore parlò già tempo riguardo a Moab.	13 This is the word that the Lord has spoken to Moab concerning that time.
14 E ora ha parlato il Signore, dicendo: In tre anni, come anni del bracciante, sarà tolta a Moab la gloria di tutto quel suo gran popolo, e pochi rimarranno, e piccoli, e non robusti.	14 And now the Lord has spoken, saying: In three years, like the years of a hired hand, the glory of Moab concerning the entire multitude of the people will be taken away, and what is left behind will be small and weak and not so numerous.
