Isaia 16

1 Manda, o Signore, l'Agnello dominatore della terra, dalla pietra del deserto al monte della figliuola di Sion.	1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
2 E saranno le figlie di Moab al passaggio del Arnon, come un uccello, che fugge, e come i pulcini, che volano fuori del nidio.	2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
3 Fa consulte, aduna consigli; fa si,che la tua ombra sia di mezzo giorno come una notte, nascondi i fuggitivi, e non tradire i vagabondi.	3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
4 Abbiano abitazione presso di te i miei fuggitivi. Sii tu, o Moab, il lor nascondiglio contro il devastatore; imperocché la polvere è finita, quel miserabile è perito, è venuto meno colui che conculcava la terra.	4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5 E sarà stabilito il trono sopra la misericordia, e sopra di esso sederà nella casa di David un giudice verace, e amante della giustizia, ed il quale farà con prontezza quello, che è giusto.	5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
6 Abbiam sentito parlare della superbia di Moab; egli è grandemente superbo: la sua superbia, e l'arroganza, e l'impetuosità di lui passano la sua possanza.	6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
7 Per questo Moab urlerà contro di Moab, urleranno tutti quanti. A que', che vanno superbi per muraglie di mattoni cotti al fuoco, annunziate le loro piaghe.	7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kir-hareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
8 Perocché i sobborghi di Hesebon son deserti,è stata troncata dai principi delle nazioni la vigna di Sabama, i tralci di cui son arrivati fino a Jazer, si sono aggirati pel deserto; le sue profagini, che rimanevano, son passate di là dal mare.	8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
9 Per questo io piangerò al pianto di Jazer, piangerò la vigna di Sabama; te bagnerò io colle mie lagrime, o Hesebon, e te, o Eleala; perocché a conculcare le tue vindemmie, e le tue messi son venuti con furore, e con istrida (i nemici.)	9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
10 E fuggirà la letizia, e l'esultazione dal Carmelo, e non sarà più festa, né giubilo; e colui, che soleva premere il vino nello strettoio, più noi premerà: ed ho tolte via le sue canzoni.	10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
11 Per questo le mie interiora, e le mie viscere daranno suono lugubre quasi cetra sulle sciagure di Moab, e sulla rovina della muraglia di mattone cotto al fuoco.	11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-haresh.
12 E avverrà, che quando Moab si sarà stancato ne' suoi luoghi eccelsi, anderà per orare ne' suoi santuari, e non potrà.	12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
13 Questa è la parola, che il Signore parlò già tempo riguardo a Moab.	13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
14 E ora ha parlato il Signore, dicendo: In tre anni, come anni del bracciante, sarà tolta a Moab la gloria di tutto quel suo gran popolo, e pochi rimarranno, e piccoli, e non robusti.	14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
