1 Al maestro del coro. Su «Macalàt». Maskil. Di Davide.	1 [For the choirmaster In sickness Poem Of David] The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God!'They are corrupt, vile and unjust, not one of them does right.
2 Lo stolto pensa: «Dio non c’è».Sono corrotti, fanno cose abominevoli:non c’è chi agisca bene.	2 God looks down from heaven at the children of Adam, to see if a single one is wise, a single oneseeks God.
3 Dio dal cielo si china sui figli dell’uomoper vedere se c’è un uomo saggio,uno che cerchi Dio.	3 Al have proved faithless, al alike turned sour, not one of them does right, not a single one.
4 Sono tutti traviati, tutti corrotti;non c’è chi agisca bene, neppure uno.	4 Are they not aware, these evil-doers? They are devouring my people; this is the bread they eat, andthey never call upon God.
5 Non impareranno dunque tutti i malfattoriche divorano il mio popolo come il panee non invocano Dio?	5 They wil be gripped with fear, just where there is no need for fear, for God scatters the bones of himwho besieges you; they are mocked because God rejects them.
6 Ecco, hanno tremato di spaventolà dove non c’era da tremare.Sì, Dio ha disperso le ossa degli aggressori,sono confusi perché Dio li ha respinti.	6 Who wil bring from Zion salvation for Israel? When God brings his people home, what joy for Jacob,what happiness for Israel!
7 Chi manderà da Sion la salvezza d’Israele?Quando Dio ristabilirà la sorte del suo popolo,esulterà Giacobbe e gioirà Israele.
