Psalmi 105

1 Alleluja. Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus, quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus.	1 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the peoples his deeds!
2 Quis loquetur potentias Domini ; auditas faciet omnes laudes ejus ?	2 Sing praise, play music; proclaim all his wondrous deeds!
3 Beati qui custodiunt judicium, et faciunt justitiam in omni tempore.	3 Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!
4 Memento nostri, Domine, in beneplacito populi tui ; visita nos in salutari tuo :	4 Rely on the mighty LORD; constantly seek his face.
5 ad videndum in bonitate electorum tuorum ; ad lætandum in lætitia gentis tuæ : ut lauderis cum hæreditate tua.	5 Recall the wondrous deeds he has done, his signs and his words of judgment,
6 Peccavimus cum patribus nostris : injuste egimus ; iniquitatem fecimus.	6 You descendants of Abraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one!
7 Patres nostri in Ægypto non intellexerunt mirabilia tua ; non fuerunt memores multitudinis misericordiæ tuæ. Et irritaverunt ascendentes in mare, mare Rubrum ;	7 The LORD is our God who rules the whole earth.
8 et salvavit eos propter nomen suum, ut notam faceret potentiam suam.	8 He remembers forever his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
9 Et increpuit mare Rubrum et exsiccatum est, et deduxit eos in abyssis sicut in deserto.	9 Which was made with Abraham, confirmed by oath to Isaac,
10 Et salvavit eos de manu odientium, et redemit eos de manu inimici.	10 And ratified as binding for Jacob, an everlasting covenant for Israel:
11 Et operuit aqua tribulantes eos ; unus ex eis non remansit.	11 "To you I give the land of Canaan, your own allotted heritage."
12 Et crediderunt verbis ejus, et laudaverunt laudem ejus.	12 When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there,
13 Cito fecerunt ; obliti sunt operum ejus : et non sustinuerunt consilium ejus.	13 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another,
14 Et concupierunt concupiscentiam in deserto, et tentaverunt Deum in inaquoso.	14 He let no one oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
15 Et dedit eis petitionem ipsorum, et misit saturitatem in animas eorum.	15 " Do not touch my anointed, to my prophets do no harm."
16 Et irritaverunt Moysen in castris ; Aaron, sanctum Domini.	16 Then he called down a famine on the land, destroyed the grain that sustained them.
17 Aperta est terra, et deglutivit Dathan, et operuit super congregationem Abiron.	17 He had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.
18 Et exarsit ignis in synagoga eorum : flamma combussit peccatores.	18 They shackled his feet with chains; collared his neck in iron,
19 Et fecerunt vitulum in Horeb, et adoraverunt sculptile.	19 Till his prediction came to pass, and the word of the LORD proved him true.
20 Et mutaverunt gloriam suam in similitudinem vituli comedentis f?num.	20 The king sent and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free.
21 Obliti sunt Deum qui salvavit eos ; qui fecit magnalia in Ægypto,	21 He made him lord over his palace, ruler over all his possessions,
22 mirabilia in terra Cham, terribilia in mari Rubro.	22 To instruct his princes by his word, to teach his elders wisdom.
23 Et dixit ut disperderet eos, si non Moyses, electus ejus, stetisset in confractione in conspectu ejus, ut averteret iram ejus, ne disperderet eos.	23 Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob lived in the land of Ham.
24 Et pro nihilo habuerunt terram desiderabilem ; non crediderunt verbo ejus.	24 God greatly increased his people, made them too many for their foes.
25 Et murmuraverunt in tabernaculis suis ; non exaudierunt vocem Domini.	25 He turned their hearts to hate his people, to treat his servants unfairly.
26 Et elevavit manum suam super eos ut prosterneret eos in deserto :	26 He sent his servant Moses, Aaron whom he had chosen.
27 et ut dejiceret semen eorum in nationibus, et dispergeret eos in regionibus.	27 They worked his signs in Egypt and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Et initiati sunt Beelphegor, et comederunt sacrificia mortuorum.	28 He sent darkness and it grew dark, but they rebelled against his word.
29 Et irritaverunt eum in adinventionibus suis, et multiplicata est in eis ruina.	29 He turned their waters into blood and killed all their fish.
30 Et stetit Phinees, et placavit, et cessavit quassatio.	30 Their land swarmed with frogs, even the chambers of their kings.
31 Et reputatum est ei in justitiam, in generationem et generationem usque in sempiternum.	31 He spoke and there came swarms of flies, gnats through all their country.
32 Et irritaverunt eum ad aquas contradictionis, et vexatus est Moyses propter eos :	32 For rain he gave them hail, flashes of lightning throughout their land.
33 quia exacerbaverunt spiritum ejus, et distinxit in labiis suis.	33 He struck down their vines and fig trees, shattered the trees of their country.
34 Non disperdiderunt gentes quas dixit Dominus illis :	34 He spoke and the locusts came, grass hoppers without number.
35 et commisti sunt inter gentes, et didicerunt opera eorum ;	35 They devoured every plant in the land; they ravaged the crops of their fields.
36 et servierunt sculptilibus eorum, et factum est illis in scandalum.	36 He struck down every firstborn in the land, the first fruits of all their vigor.
37 Et immolaverunt filios suos et filias suas dæmoniis.	37 He brought his people out, laden with silver and gold; no stragglers among the tribes.
38 Et effuderunt sanguinem innocentem, sanguinem filiorum suorum et filiarum suarum, quas sacrificaverunt sculptilibus Chanaan. Et infecta est terra in sanguinibus,	38 Egypt rejoiced when they left, for panic had seized them.
39 et contaminata est in operibus eorum : et fornicati sunt in adinventionibus suis.	39 He spread a cloud as a cover, and made a fire to light up the night.
40 Et iratus est furore Dominus in populum suum, et abominatus est hæreditatem suam.	40 They asked and he brought them quail; with bread from heaven he filled them.
41 Et tradidit eos in manus gentium ; et dominati sunt eorum qui oderunt eos.	41 He split the rock and water gushed forth; it flowed through the desert like a river.
42 Et tribulaverunt eos inimici eorum, et humiliati sunt sub manibus eorum ;	42 For he remembered his sacred word to Abraham his servant.
43 sæpe liberavit eos. Ipsi autem exacerbaverunt eum in consilio suo, et humiliati sunt in iniquitatibus suis.	43 He brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with shouts of triumph.
44 Et vidit cum tribularentur, et audivit orationem eorum.	44 He gave them the lands of the nations, the wealth of the peoples to own,
45 Et memor fuit testamenti sui, et p?nituit eum secundum multitudinem misericordiæ suæ :	45 That they might keep his laws and observe his teachings. Hallelujah!
46 et dedit eos in misericordias, in conspectu omnium qui ceperant eos.
47 Salvos nos fac, Domine Deus noster, et congrega nos de nationibus : ut confiteamur nomini sancto tuo, et gloriemur in laude tua.
48 Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, a sæculo et usque in sæculum ; et dicet omnis populus : Fiat, fiat.
