Salmi 149

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ALLELUIA. Cantate Domino canticum novum; laus eius in ecclesia sanctorum.	1 Al eluia! Sing a new song to Yahweh: his praise in the assembly of the faithful!
2 Laetetur Israel in eo, qui fecit eum, et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.	2 Israel shall rejoice in its Maker, the children of Zion delight in their king;
3 Laudent nomen eius in choro, in tympano et cithara psallant ei,	3 they shal dance in praise of his name, play to him on tambourines and harp!
4 quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo, et honorabit mansuetos in salute.	4 For Yahweh loves his people, he will crown the humble with salvation.
5 Iubilent sancti in gloria, laetentur in cubilibus suis.	5 The faithful exult in glory, shout for joy as they worship him,
6 Exaltationes Dei in gutture eorum, et gladii ancipites in manibus eorum,	6 praising God to the heights with their voices, a two-edged sword in their hands,
7 ad faciendam vindictam in nationibus, castigationes in populis,	7 to wreak vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples,
8 ad alligandos reges eorum in compedibus et nobiles eorum in manicis ferreis,	8 to load their kings with chains and their nobles with iron fetters,
9 ad faciendum in eis iudicium conscriptum. Gloria haec est omnibus sanctis eius. ALLELUIA.	9 to execute on them the judgement passed -- to the honour of al his faithful.
