1 Canticum ascensionum. David. Domine, non est exaltatum cor meum, neque elati sunt oculi mei, neque ambulavi in magnis neque in mirabilibus super me.	1 A song of ascents. Of David. LORD, my heart is not proud; nor are my eyes haughty. I do not busy myself with great matters, with things too sublime for me.
2 Vere pacatam et quietam feci animam meam; sicut ablactatus in sinu matris suae, sicut ablactatus, ita in me est anima mea.	2 Rather, I have stilled my soul, hushed it like a weaned child. Like a weaned child on its mother's lap, so is my soul within me.
3 Speret Israel in Domino ex hoc nunc et usque in saeculum.	3 Israel, hope in the LORD, now and forever.
