Isaia 66

BIBBIA MARTINI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Queste cose dice il Signore: Il cielo è mio seggio, e la terra sgabello a' miei piedi: che casa è quella, che voi edificherete per me, e che luogo è quello, dov' io riposi?	1 Thus says Yahweh: With heaven my throne and earth my footstool, what house could you build me,what place for me to rest,
2 Queste cose tutte le fece la mano mia, e furon fatte tutte quante, dice il Signore: ma verso di chi volgerò io il mio sguardo, se non al poverello, e all'uom contrito di spirito, e che trema alla mia parola?	2 when al these things were made by me and al belong to me? - declares Yahweh. But my eyes aredrawn to the person of humbled and contrite spirit, who trembles at my word.
3 Colui, che immola un bue, è come chi uccide un uomo: chi scanna un agnello, come chi taglia il capo ad un cane: chi l'obblazione offerisce, come chi presentasse sangue di porco: chi dell'incenso ricordasi, come chi bene dicesse un simolacro. Tutte queste cose hanno essi elette secondo le loro inclinazioni, e l'anima loro ha amate le loro abbominazioni.	3 Some slaughter a bul , some kill a human being, some sacrifice a lamb, some strangle a dog, somepresent an offering of pig's blood, some burn memorial incense, a revolting blessing; al these people havechosen their own ways and take delight in their disgusting practices.
4 Quindi io pure imiterò le lor derisioni; e le cose, che temevano, manderò sopra di loro, perchè chiamai, e non fu chi rispondesse; parlai, e non mi diedero retta, e fecero il male sugli occhi miei, e vollero quel, ch'io non voleva.	4 I too take delight in making fools of them, I shal bring what they most fear down on them because Ihave called and no one would answer, I spoke and no one listened. They have done what I regard as evil, havechosen what displeases me.
5 Udite la parola del Signore, voi, che alla parola di lui tremate: I vostri fratelli, che vi odiano, e a causa del nome mio vi rigettano, hanno detto: si glorifichi il Signore, e nella vostra letizia noi lo riconosceremo. Ma eglino saran confusi.	5 Listen to the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at his word. Your brothers, who hate and reject youbecause of my name, have said, 'Let Yahweh show his glory, let us witness your joy!' But they will be put toshame.
6 Voce del popolo dalla città, voce del tempio, voce del Signore, che rende la mercede a' suoi nemici.	6 Listen! An uproar from the city! A voice from the Temple! The voice of Yahweh bringing retribution onhis enemies.
7 Prima di aver le doglie ella ha partorito: prima del tempo di partorire e ella ha partorito un maschio.	7 Before being in labour she has given birth. Before the birth pangs came, she has been delivered of achild.
8 Chi udì mai cosa tale? E chi vide cosa simile a quella? La terra partorisce ella in un giorno? Ovvero è egli partorito un popolo tutto insieme? Ma i Sionne si senti gravida, e partorì i suoi figli.	8 Who ever heard of such a thing, who ever saw anything like this? Can a country be born in one day?Can a nation be brought forth al at once? For Zion, scarcely in labour, has brought forth her children!
9 Forse io, che altri fo partorire, io o pur non partorirò, dice il Signore? Io, a che altrui do discendenza sarò sterile, o dice il Signore Dio tuo?	9 Shal I open the womb and not bring to birth? says Yahweh. Shall I, who bring to birth, close the womb?says your God.
10 Congratulatevi con Gerusalemme, ed esultate con lei tutti voi, che la amate; rallegratevi con lei grandemente voi tutti, che piangete per lei;	10 Rejoice with Jerusalem, be glad for her, al you who love her! Rejoice, rejoice with her, al you whomourned her!
11 Così voi succhierete alle sue mammelle la consolazione, e ne sarete satolli; e copia grande di delizie trarrete dalla splendida gloria di lei.	11 So that you may be suckled and satisfied from her consoling breast, so that you may drink deep withdelight from her generous nipple.
12 Imperocché queste cose dice il ,Signore: Ecco che io volgerò sopra di lei come un fiume di pace, e come torrente, che inonda la gloria delle genti: voi succhierete il suo latte: sul seno di lei sarete portati, e sulle ginocchia vi faranno carezze.	12 For Yahweh says this: Look, I am going to send peace flowing over her like a river, and like a streamin spate the glory of the nations. You wil be suckled, carried on her hip and fondled in her lap.
13 Come una madre accarezza il bambino, cosi io consolerò voi, e vostra consolazione sarà in Gerusalemme.	13 As a mother comforts a child, so I shal comfort you; you wil be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 Voi vedrete, e si rallegrerà il cuor vostro, e le ossa vostre rinverdiranno com'erba, e sarà conosciuta la man del Signore da' suoi servi; ma il suo sdegno farà egli provare a' suoi nemici.	14 At the sight your heart wil rejoice, and your limbs regain vigour like the grass. To his servants Yahwehwil reveal his hand, but to his enemies his fury.
15 Perocché ecco che il Signore verrà col fuoco, e il cocchio di lui sarà come un turbine, per ispandere nella sua indegnazione il suo furore, e la sua vendetta dell'ardor delle fiamme:	15 For see how Yahweh comes in fire, his chariots like the whirlwind, to assuage his anger with burning,his rebukes with flaming fire.
16 Perchè il Signore cinto di fuoco, e di sua spada farà giudizio di tutta la carne, e il numero di quegli, che il Signore ucciderà, sarà grande:	16 For by fire wil Yahweh execute fair judgement, and by his sword, on all people; and Yahweh's victimswil be many.
17 Quei, che si santificavano, e credevan di farsi puri negli orti dietro la porta, quei, che mangiavan carne di porco, e cose abbominevoli, e i sorci, periran tutti insieme, dice il Signore:	17 As for those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to enter the gardens, fol owing the one inthe centre, who eat the flesh of pigs, revolting things and rats: their deeds and their thoughts will perish together,declares Yahweh.
18 Ma io le opere loro, e i loro pensieri vengo a raunare con tutte le genti, e con tutte le lingue, e verranno, e vedran la mia gloria.	18 I am coming to gather every nation and every language. They wil come to witness my glory.
19 Ma alzerò tra di esse un segno, e di que', che saranno salvati, ne spedirò alle genti pel mare, nell'Africa, nella Lidia (a genti, che scoccano saette), e per l'Italia, e per la Grecia, alle rimote isole, a genti, che non han sentito parlar di me, e non han veduto la mia gloria. E la mia gloria annunzieran quelli alle genti:	19 I shal give them a sign and send some of their survivors to the nations: to Tarshish, Put, Lud,Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coasts and islands that have never heard of me or seen my glory.They wil proclaim my glory to the nations,
20 Ed ei condurranno tutti i fratelli vostri di tutte nazioni in obblazione al Signore su' cavalli, su' cocchi, nelle lettighe, su' muli, e su' carri al monte mio santo di Gerusalemme, dice il Signore, come quando i figliuoli d'Israele portano in un mondo vaso l'offerta alla casa del Signore.	20 and from al the nations they wil bring al your brothers as an offering to Yahweh, on horses, inchariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to my holy mountain, Jerusalem, Yahweh says, like Israelitesbringing offerings in clean vessels to Yahweh's house.
21 E di questi io ne sceglierò de' sacerdoti, e de' Leviti, dice il Signore:	21 And some of them I shal make into priests and Levites, Yahweh says.
22 Imperocché come i nuovi cieli, e la nuova terra, ch'io fo stare alla mia presenza: cosi starà la stirpe vostra, e il vostro nome, dice il Signore.	22 For as the new heavens and the new earth I am making wil endure before me, declares Yahweh, sowil your race and your name endure.
23 E di mese in mese, e di sabato in sabato verrà ogni uomo a prostrarsi dinanzi a me, dice il Signore.	23 From New Moon to New Moon, from Sabbath to Sabbath, al humanity wil come and bow in mypresence, Yahweh says.
24 E usciranno a vedere i cadaveri di coloro, che han prevaricato contro di me: il loro verme non muore, e il loro fuoco non si estinguerà: e il vederli farà nausea ad ogni uomo.	24 And on their way out they wil see the corpses of those who rebelled against me; for their worm wilnever die nor their fire be put out, and they wil be held in horror by al humanity.
