1 Al maestro del coro. Di Davide.Lo stolto pensa: «Dio non c’è».Sono corrotti, fanno cose abominevoli:non c’è chi agisca bene.	1 [For the choirmaster Of David] The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.' Their deeds arecorrupt and vile, not one of them does right.
2 Il Signore dal cielo si china sui figli dell’uomoper vedere se c’è un uomo saggio,uno che cerchi Dio.	2 Yahweh looks down from heaven at the children of Adam. To see if a single one is wise, a single oneseeks God.
3 Sono tutti traviati, tutti corrotti;non c’è chi agisca bene, neppure uno.	3 Al have turned away, all alike turned sour, not one of them does right, not a single one.
4 Non impareranno dunque tutti i malfattori,che divorano il mio popolo come il panee non invocano il Signore?	4 Are they not aware, all these evil-doers? They are devouring my people, this is the bread they eat, andthey never call to Yahweh.
5 Ecco, hanno tremato di spavento,perché Dio è con la stirpe del giusto.	5 They wil be gripped with fear, where there is no need for fear, for God takes the side of the upright;
6 Voi volete umiliare le speranze del povero,ma il Signore è il suo rifugio.	6 you may mock the plans of the poor, but Yahweh is their refuge.
7 Chi manderà da Sion la salvezza d’Israele?Quando il Signore ristabilirà la sorte del suo popolo,esulterà Giacobbe e gioirà Israele.	7 Who wil bring from Zion salvation for Israel? When Yahweh brings his people home, what joy forJacob, what happiness for Israel!
