Giobbe 33

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 - Ascolta dunque, o Giobbe, le mie parole, e a tutti i miei discorsi presta orecchio.	1 Therefore, O Job, hear my discourse, and hearken to all my words.
2 Ecco che io apro la mia bocca, e la mia lingua nel mio palato parla;	2 Behold, now I open my mouth; my tongue and my voice form words.
3 dal mio schietto cuore [procedono] i miei discorsi, e le mie labbra proferiscono sentenze monde:	3 I will state directly what is in my mind, my lips shall utter knowledge sincerely;
4 il soffio di Dio m'ha fatto, e l'alito dell'Onnipotente mi diè vita;	4 For the spirit of God has made me, the breath of the Almighty keeps me alive.
5 se tu puoi, rispondimi, e prendi posizione contro di me:	5 If you are able, refute me; draw up your arguments and stand forth.
6 ecco, tanto me quanto te ha fatto Dio, e dallo stesso fango fui formato anch'io;	6 Behold I, like yourself, have been taken from the same clay by God.
7 quindi, non temere di me come di cosa straordinaria, e la mia eloquenza non ti sia grave.	7 Therefore no fear of me should dismay you, nor should my presence weigh heavily upon you.
8 Tu dunque ai detto ai miei orecchi, e il suono delle tue parole udii:	8 But you have said in my hearing, as I listened to the sound of your words:
9 " Puro son io, e senza delitto; immacolato e scevro d'iniquità;	9 "I am clean and without transgression; I am innocent; there is no guilt in me.
10 [ma] poichè [Dio] trovò in me delle querele, per questo mi stima come suo nemico;	10 Yet he invents pretexts against me and reckons me as his enemy.
11 nel ceppo egli ha posto i miei piedied ha osservato tutte le mie strade! ".	11 He puts my feet in the stocks; he watches all my ways!"
12 Ebbene, questo è dove tu non hai ragione - io ti rispondo -perchè Dio è più grande dell'uomo.	12 In this you are not just, let me tell you; for God is greater than man.
13 Contro di Lui vuoi tu contendere perchè non ha risposto a tutte le tue parole?	13 Why, then, do you make complaint against him that he gives no account of his doings?
14 In una prima maniera parla Dio, e poi una seconda ma non vi si pone mente.	14 For God does speak, perhaps once, or even twice, though one perceive it not.
15 Per mezzo del sogno nella visione notturna, quando il sopore si riversa sugli uominied essi dormono sul giaciglio;	15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, (when deep sleep falls upon men) as they slumber in their beds,
16 allora apre egli l'orecchio agli uomini, e li erudisce istruendoli nella disciplina,	16 It is then he opens the ears of men and as a warning to them, terrifies them;
17 affin di ritrarre l'uomo da ciò che sta operando, e liberarlo dalla superbia:	17 By turning man from evil and keeping pride away from him,
18 così che libera l'anima sua dallo sterminio, e la sua vita dal passar per la spada.	18 He withholds his soul from the pit and his life from passing to the grave.
19 Ovver lo castiga col dolore sul letto, e tutte le sue ossa fa imputridire;	19 Or a man is chastened on his bed by pain and unceasing suffering within his frame,
20 abominevole diventa a lui nel suo stato il cibo, e l'alimento al suo essere che prima lo gustava:	20 So that to his appetite food becomes repulsive, and his senses reject the choicest nourishment.
21 la carne di lui si va consumando, e le ossa, già ricoperte, si denudano;	21 His flesh is wasted so that it cannot be seen, and his bones, once invisible, appear;
22 così l'anima sua s'avvicina allo sterminio, e la sua vita agli esseri mortiferi.	22 His soul draws near to the pit, his life to the place of the dead.
23 Ma se vi sarà in suo favore un angeloun interprete - uno fra mille - che mostri all'uomo il suo dovere,	23 If then there be for him an angel, one out of a thousand, a mediator, To show him what is right for him and bring the man back to justice,
24 [Dio] avrà pietà di lui e dirà:- Liberalo, sì che non scenda al [luogo di] sterminio, poichè ho trovato ciò che mi muove a sua pietà;	24 He will take pity on him and say, "Deliver him from going down to the pit; I have found him a ransom."
25 la sua carne è consumata dai tormenti, [ma] ritorni come ai giorni di sua giovinezza! -	25 Then his flesh shall become soft as a boy's; he shall be again as in the days of his youth.
26 Egli pregherà Dio che gli sarà propizio, mostrerà il suo volto in giubilo, e renderà all'uomo la sua giustizia;	26 He shall pray and God will favor him; he shall see God's face with rejoicing.
27 questi rivolto agli uomini dirà:- Avevo peccato e veramente prevaricato, e non fui contraccambiato come meritavo! -	27 He shall sing before men and say, "I sinned and did wrong, yet he has not punished me accordingly.
28 [Dio] liberò l'anima sua dal cader nella morte, sì che vivendo vedesse la luce.	28 He delivered my soul from passing to the pit, and I behold the light of life."
29 Ecco, tutto ciò opera Diopiù e più volte con ciascuno,	29 Lo, all these things God does, twice, or thrice, for a man,
30 affin di ritrarre l'anima sua dallo sterminio, e illuminarla della luce dei viventi.	30 Bringing back his soul from the pit to the light, in the land of the living.
31 Sta' attento, Giobbe, ascoltami, e taci mentre io parlo:	31 Be attentive, O Job; listen to me! Be silent and I will speak.
32 se hai qualche cosa da dire, rispondimi, parla pure, perchè io gradirei darti ragione:	32 If you have aught to say, then answer me. Speak out! I should like to see you justified.
33 se non hai nulla, ascoltami, taci e io t'insegnerò la sapienza.»	33 If not, then do you listen to me; be silent while I teach you wisdom.
