1 'Di Davide'. Alef. A te, Signore, elevo l'anima mia,	1 [Of David] ADORATION I offer, Yahweh,
2 Bet. Dio mio, in te confido: non sia confuso! Non trionfino su di me i miei nemici!	2 to you, my God. BUT in my trust in you do not put me to shame, let not my enemies gloat over me.
3 Ghimel. Chiunque spera in te non resti deluso, sia confuso chi tradisce per un nulla.	3 CALLING to you, none shal ever be put to shame, but shame is theirs who groundlessly break faith.
4 Dalet. Fammi conoscere, Signore, le tue vie, insegnami i tuoi sentieri.	4 DIRECT me in your ways, Yahweh, and teach me your paths.
5 He. Guidami nella tua verità e istruiscimi, perché sei tu il Dio della mia salvezza, Vau. in te ho sempre sperato.	5 ENCOURAGE me to walk in your truth and teach me since you are the God who saves me. FOR myhope is in you all day long -- such is your generosity, Yahweh.
6 Zain. Ricordati, Signore, del tuo amore, della tua fedeltà che è da sempre.	6 GOODNESS and faithful love have been yours for ever, Yahweh, do not forget them.
7 Het. Non ricordare i peccati della mia giovinezza: ricordati di me nella tua misericordia, per la tua bontà, Signore.	7 HOLD not my youthful sins against me, but remember me as your faithful love dictates.
8 Tet. Buono e retto è il Signore, la via giusta addita ai peccatori;	8 INTEGRITY and generosity are marks of Yahweh for he brings sinners back to the path.
9 Iod. guida gli umili secondo giustizia, insegna ai poveri le sue vie.	9 JUDICIOUSLY he guides the humble, instructing the poor in his way.
10 Caf. Tutti i sentieri del Signore sono verità e grazia per chi osserva il suo patto e i suoi precetti.	10 KINDNESS unfailing and constancy mark al Yahweh's paths, for those who keep his covenant andhis decrees.
11 Lamed. Per il tuo nome, Signore, perdona il mio peccato anche se grande.	11 LET my sin, great though it is, be forgiven, Yahweh, for the sake of your name.
12 Mem. Chi è l'uomo che teme Dio? Gli indica il cammino da seguire.	12 MEN who respect Yahweh, what of them? He teaches them the way they must choose.
13 Nun. Egli vivrà nella ricchezza, la sua discendenza possederà la terra.	13 NEIGHBOURS to happiness wil they live, and their children inherit the land.
14 Samech. Il Signore si rivela a chi lo teme, gli fa conoscere la sua alleanza.	14 ONLY those who fear Yahweh have his secret and his covenant, for their understanding.
15 Ain. Tengo i miei occhi rivolti al Signore, perché libera dal laccio il mio piede.	15 PERMANENTLY my eyes are on Yahweh, for he will free my feet from the snare.
16 Pe. Volgiti a me e abbi misericordia, perché sono solo ed infelice.	16 QUICK, turn to me, pity me, alone and wretched as I am!
17 Zade. Allevia le angosce del mio cuore, liberami dagli affanni.	17 RELIEVE the distress of my heart, bring me out of my constraint.
18 Vedi la mia miseria e la mia pena e perdona tutti i miei peccati.	18 SPARE a glance for my misery and pain, take al my sins away.
19 Res. Guarda i miei nemici: sono molti e mi detestano con odio violento.	19 TAKE note how countless are my enemies, how violent their hatred for me.
20 Sin. Proteggimi, dammi salvezza; al tuo riparo io non sia deluso.	20 UNLESS you guard me and rescue me I shall be put to shame, for you are my refuge.
21 Tau. Mi proteggano integrità e rettitudine, perché in te ho sperato.	21 VIRTUE and integrity be my protection, for my hope, Yahweh, is in you.
22 Pe. O Dio, libera Israele da tutte le sue angosce.	22 Ransom Israel, O God, from al its troubles.
