1 Questa è la genealogia di Esaù, o sia di Edom.	1 These are the descendants of Esau, that is, Edom.
2 Esaù prese mogli delle figlie di Chanaan: Ada, figlia di Elon Hetheo, e Oolibama, figliuola di Ana, figlio di Sebeon Heveo:	2 Esau chose his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamahdaughter of Anah, son of Zibeon the Horite,
3 E anche Basemath, figliuola d'Ismaele, sorella di Nabajoth.	3 Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4 E Ada partorì Eliphaz; Basemath generò Rahuel.	4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,

6 Poscia Esaù prese le sue mogli, e i figliuoli, e le figliuole, e tutta la gente di sua casa, e tutti i suoi beni, e i bestiami, e tutto quello che avea nella terra di Chanaan: e andò in un altro paese, e si ritirò dal suo fratello Giacobbe.	6 Esau took his wives, his sons and daughters, al the members of his household, his livestock, al hiscattle and al the goods he had acquired in Canaan and left for Seir, away from his brother Jacob.
7 Perocché erano molto ricchi, e non poteano stare in un medesimo luogo: e per la moltitudine de' greggi non potea sostentarli la terra, dov'erano pellegrini.	7 For they had acquired too much to live together. The land in which they were at that time could notsupport them both because of their livestock.
8 E abitò Esaù, o sia Edom, sul monte Seir.	8 That is why Edom settled in the mountainous region of Seir. Esau is Edom.

34 E morto Jobab, regnò in luogo di lui Husam della terra dei Themniti.	34 Jobab died and Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded.
