1 Abramo poi sposò un'altra moglie per nome Cetura:	1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
2 La quale partorì a lui Zamran, e Jecsan, e Madan, e Madian, e Jesboc, e Sue.	2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 Jecsan poi generò Saba, e Dadan. I figliuoli di Dadan furon Assurim, e Latusim, e Loomim.	3 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 Da Madian nacque Epha, e Opher, ed Henoch, e Abida, ed Eldaa: tutti questi figliuoli di Cetura.	4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
5 E Abramo diede ad Isaac tutto quello che possedeva:	5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 A' figliuoli poi delle concubine diede dei doni, e li separò da Isaac suo figliuolo, mentre era tuttora in vita, mandandoli verso l'oriente.	6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
7 E tutti i giorni della vita d'Abramo furono cento settantacinque anni.	7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
8 E venne meno e morì in prospera vecchiezza, e d'età avanzata, e pieno di giorni, e andò a unirsi al suo popolo.	8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
9 E Isaac e Ismaele suoi figliuoli lo seppellirono nella doppia spelonca situata nel campo di Ephron, figliuolo di Seor Heteo, dirimpetto a Mambre.	9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
10 Il qual campo egli avea comprato da' figliuoli di Heth: ivi fu sepolto egli, e Sara sua moglie.	10 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 E dopo la morte di lui Dio benedisse Isacco suo figlio, il quale abitava presso al pozzo detto di colui che vive e che vede.	11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.
12 Questo è il novero dei posteri d'Ismaele, figliuolo di Abramo, partorito a lui da Agar Egiziana schiava di Sara:	12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
13 E questi sono i nomi de' figliuoli di lui, co' quali nomi furon chiamati i suoi discendenti. Primogenito di Ismaele fu Nabajoth, dipoi Cedar, e Adbeel, e Mabsam:	13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 E Masma, e Duma, e Massa,	14 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 Hadar, e Thema, e Jethur, e Naphis, e Cedma.	15 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 Questi sono i figliuoli d'Ismaele, e questi nomi passarono a' loro castelli, e cittadi. Essi furon dodici principi ognuno della sua tribù.	16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
17 E tutti gli anni della vita d'Ismaele furono cento trentasette, e andò mancando e morì, e andò ad unirsi col suo popolo.	17 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
18 Or egli abitò il paese, che è da Hevila sino a Sur, la quale (Sur) guarda l'Egitto per chi va nell'Assiria. Egli morì presenti tutti i suoi fratelli.	18 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
19 Questa pur fu la genealogia d'Isaac figliuolo di Abramo: Abramo generò Isaac:	19 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:
20 E questi essendo in età d'anni quaranta, sposò Rebecca figliuola di Bathuele Siro della Mesopotamia, sorella di Laban.	20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 E Isaac fece preghiere al Signore per la sua moglie, perocché ella era sterile: ed egli lo esaudì, e fece che Rebecca concepisse.	21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 Ma si urtavano nel seno di lei i bambini; ed ella disse: Se questo dovea accadermi, qual bisogno v'era, che io concepissi? E se ne andò a consultare il Signore.	22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.
23 Il quale rispose, e disse: Due nazioni sono nel tuo seno, e due popoli dal ventre tuo usciran separati, e l'un popolo vincerà l'altro, e il maggiore servirà al minore.	23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
24 Era già venuto il tempo di partorire, ed ecco, che si trovaron nell'utero di lei due gemelli.	24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25 Quegli che il primo venne fuora, era rosso, e tutto peloso, come una pelliccia; e fugli posto nome Esaù. L'altro, che immediatamente uscì, tenea colla mano il piede del fratello: e per questo ella lo chiamò Giacobbe.	25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26 Isacco era di sessant'anni, quando gli nacquero questi bambini.	26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
27 I quali allorché furono adulti, Esaù divenne buon cacciatore, e uom di campagna: e Giacobbe uomo semplice abitava ne' padiglioni.	27 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
28 Isacco amava Esaù, perché si cibava della caccia di lui: e Rebecca amava Giacobbe.	28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 Or Giacobbe si era cotta una pietanza, quando venne a lui Esaù dalla campagna affaticato,	29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
30 E disse: Dammi di quella cosa rossa, che hai cotta, perocché sono stanco davvero. Per questa cagione gli fu dato il nome di Edom.	30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 Disse a lui Giacobbe: Vendimi la tua primogenitura.	31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 Quegli rispose: Ecco che io mi muoio: che mi varrà l'esser io primogenito?	32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
33 Disse Giacobbe: Giuramelo adunque. Esaù fece a lui il giuramento, e vendé la primogenitura.	33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Così preso il pane, e la pietanza di lenti, mangiò, e bevve, e s'andò poco curando d'aver venduto il diritto di primogenito.	34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
