Psalmi 47

VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Psalmus cantici. Filiis Core, secunda sabbati.	1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah Psalm] Clap your hands, all peoples, acclaim God withshouts of joy.
2 Magnus Dominus et laudabilis nimis, in civitate Dei nostri, in monte sancto ejus.	2 For Yahweh, the Most High, is glorious, the great king over al the earth.
3 Fundatur exsultatione universæ terræ mons Sion ; latera aquilonis, civitas regis magni.	3 He brings peoples under our yoke and nations under our feet.
4 Deus in domibus ejus cognoscetur cum suscipiet eam.	4 He chooses for us our birthright, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.Pause
5 Quoniam ecce reges terræ congregati sunt ; convenerunt in unum.	5 God goes up to shouts of acclaim, Yahweh to a fanfare on the ram's horn.
6 Ipsi videntes, sic admirati sunt, conturbati sunt, commoti sunt.	6 Let the music sound for our God, let it sound, let the music sound for our king, let it sound.
7 Tremor apprehendit eos ; ibi dolores ut parturientis :	7 For he is king of the whole world; learn the music, let it sound for God!
8 in spiritu vehementi conteres naves Tharsis.	8 God reigns over the nations, seated on his holy throne.
9 Sicut audivimus, sic vidimus, in civitate Domini virtutum, in civitate Dei nostri : Deus fundavit eam in æternum.	9 The leaders of the nations ral y to the people of the God of Abraham. The shields of the earth belongto God, who is exalted on high.
10 Suscepimus, Deus, misericordiam tuam in medio templi tui.
11 Secundum nomen tuum, Deus, sic et laus tua in fines terræ ; justitia plena est dextera tua.
12 Lætetur mons Sion, et exsultent filiæ Judæ, propter judicia tua, Domine.
13 Circumdate Sion, et complectimini eam ; narrate in turribus ejus.
14 Ponite corda vestra in virtute ejus, et distribuite domos ejus, ut enarretis in progenie altera.
15 Quoniam hic est Deus, Deus noster in æternum, et in sæculum sæculi : ipse reget nos in sæcula.
