Psalmi 111

VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Alleluja, reversionis Aggæi et Zachariæ. Beatus vir qui timet Dominum : in mandatis ejus volet nimis.	1 Al eluia! I give thanks to Yahweh with al my heart, in the meeting-place of honest people, in theassembly.
2 Potens in terra erit semen ejus ; generatio rectorum benedicetur.	2 Great are the deeds of Yahweh, to be pondered by al who delight in them.
3 Gloria et divitiæ in domo ejus, et justitia ejus manet in sæculum sæculi.	3 Ful of splendour and majesty his work, his saving justice stands firm for ever.
4 Exortum est in tenebris lumen rectis : misericors, et miserator, et justus.	4 He gives us a memorial of his great deeds; Yahweh is mercy and tenderness.
5 Jucundus homo qui miseretur et commodat ; disponet sermones suos in judicio :	5 He gives food to those who fear him, he keeps his covenant ever in mind.
6 quia in æternum non commovebitur.	6 His works show his people his power in giving them the birthright of the nations.
7 In memoria æterna erit justus ; ab auditione mala non timebit. Paratum cor ejus sperare in Domino,	7 The works of his hands are fidelity and justice, al his precepts are trustworthy,
8 confirmatum est cor ejus ; non commovebitur donec despiciat inimicos suos.	8 established for ever and ever, accomplished in fidelity and honesty.
9 Dispersit, dedit pauperibus ; justitia ejus manet in sæculum sæculi : cornu ejus exaltabitur in gloria.	9 Deliverance he sends to his people, his covenant he imposes for ever; holy and awesome his name.
10 Peccator videbit, et irascetur ; dentibus suis fremet et tabescet : desiderium peccatorum peribit.	10 The root of wisdom is fear of Yahweh; those who attain it are wise. His praise wil continue for ever.
