BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 'Di Davide, quando si finse pazzo in presenza di Abimelech e, da lui scacciato, se ne andò.'	1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.
2 Alef. Benedirò il Signore in ogni tempo, sulla mia bocca sempre la sua lode.	2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.
3 Bet. Io mi glorio nel Signore, ascoltino gli umili e si rallegrino.	3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.
4 Ghimel. Celebrate con me il Signore, esaltiamo insieme il suo nome.	4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.
5 Dalet. Ho cercato il Signore e mi ha risposto e da ogni timore mi ha liberato.	5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.
6 He. Guardate a lui e sarete raggianti, non saranno confusi i vostri volti.	6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.
7 Zain. Questo povero grida e il Signore lo ascolta, lo libera da tutte le sue angosce.	7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 Het. L'angelo del Signore si accampa attorno a quelli che lo temono e li salva.	8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.
9 Tet. Gustate e vedete quanto è buono il Signore; beato l'uomo che in lui si rifugia.	9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.
10 Iod. Temete il Signore, suoi santi, nulla manca a coloro che lo temono.	10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.
11 Caf. I ricchi impoveriscono e hanno fame, ma chi cerca il Signore non manca di nulla.	11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.
12 Lamed. Venite, figli, ascoltatemi; v'insegnerò il timore del Signore.	12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?
13 Mem. C'è qualcuno che desidera la vita e brama lunghi giorni per gustare il bene?	13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.
14 Nun. Preserva la lingua dal male, le labbra da parole bugiarde.	14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
15 Samech. Sta' lontano dal male e fa' il bene, cerca la pace e perseguila.	15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.
16 Ain. Gli occhi del Signore sui giusti, i suoi orecchi al loro grido di aiuto.	16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 Pe. Il volto del Signore contro i malfattori, per cancellarne dalla terra il ricordo.	17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.
18 Sade. Gridano e il Signore li ascolta, li salva da tutte le loro angosce.	18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 Kof. Il Signore è vicino a chi ha il cuore ferito, egli salva gli spiriti affranti.	19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.
20 Res. Molte sono le sventure del giusto, ma lo libera da tutte il Signore.	20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.
21 Sin. Preserva tutte le sue ossa, neppure uno sarà spezzato.	21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.
22 Tau. La malizia uccide l'empio e chi odia il giusto sarà punito.	22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.
23 Il Signore riscatta la vita dei suoi servi, chi in lui si rifugia non sarà condannato.
